How do you feel when you draw? Does it ever stop being something you enjoy and turns into something you HAVE to do?

I feel tense and intense when I draw. Part of the reason is posture and age; part of the reason is that working in a stripped-down, barebones style like mine is stressful because one false line can throw everything into ruin. I hold my breath a lot when I ink.

I’ve been trying to be more conscious of my breathing lately and in doing so, hoping to gain even clearer focus by breathing continuously through the inking process (and also, stretching more).

It’s kind of hard to say whether I “enjoy” drawing or whether I “have to” draw. I like drawing for the most part. I like having completed a drawing. It’s a nice, purposeful activity!
