I love tumblr because somehow I can end up being mutuals with a celebrity (someone that wrote a fic that I loved)
mira loves sending selfies of herself during solo photoshoots to her girls bc by the time she gets home most of the time theyre in full “we need you NOW. start stripping.” mode and she loves that
but she doesn’t realize just how insane rumi and zoey are about her in general until the first time she sends a “just woke up” selfie to them after they got together and shes on a solo trip which she follows up with a “thinking of you”. she isnt wearing makeup and her hairs all messy and there’s a little bit of crust from her drool on the side of her cheek. she just thinks “oh its a goofy photo theyll think its funny”.
which means she’s especially startled when ten minutes later she gets a reply from rumi and opens it up only to be flashbanged by the sight of a pattern hand buried between two freckled thighs.
“we’re thinking of you too”
at first shes like “oh they just really miss me so ofc they’re sending me sexual pics”. but then it happens again the next time she sends a similar pic while away.
and again.
and again.
and at this point mira is like “woah do they just like, really like me when i wake up looking like this.” and the thing is shes always the earliest riser of the three of them so they dont really usually get to experience just woken up mira.
so one time when shes home she decides to sleep in to see how they feel about her looking like that in person, and when she wakes up that morning she practically gets jumped
mira, chest heaving after having been pretty thoroughly fucked: wow you guys uh, really like when i look like this huh?
zoey: well yeah, duh, its when youre the least put together version of yourself. seeing you when youre at your least camera ready is unbelievably sexy.
rumi: and also there’s something about seeing you at your most vulnerable that’s very hot.
mira: okay theres stuff to unpack there but not before we have have breakfast

It IS true that being on here gives you a tumblr accent. This morning my mother asked me something and i replied "i don't know i've never heard these words in that order" and she nearly choked laughing. It wasn't even that funny
at my old job i had a coworker who was tired and made a coffee with like 6 or 8 shots of espresso and i just casually went up to them like “are you trying to meet god?” and not only was this absolutely hilarious to them but they brought it up in future conversations they thought it was so funny but to me this was just as casual as saying “woah that’s a lot of coffee”
Being funny on Tumblr and then going to be funny in real life is like traveling to a foreign country and baby the currency exchange rate is biased in your favor
when Lemony Snicket wrote “I will love you if I never see you again, and I will love you if I see you everyday” that hurt me
It's funny when Tumblr screenshots circulate other websites or you show one to someone who's not super online and they think they're supposed to pay attention to the usernames as a part of it so they get really hung up on the fact that a comment comes from a handle like "SloppyMuppetBalls" or "werewolf-smegma-collector." The kid next door (talking toddler age) is playing outside and just wiped out in his Fisher Price car, and I just heard the babysitter say, “oh no, your insurance premium is definitely going to go up!” And the kid who had only been mildly sniffling before made the most confused, but startled sound you’ve ever heard.
Just very clearly an attempt at saying, “my what?”
He straight up forgot about his scraped knee and is now worried about whatever the fuck an insurance premium is.
