Layton alternative future storyline -

After the successful development of the time machine with the help of the Relics Stones Hawks has gained control of London. More time machines have been developed and owned by corrupt politicians who use this technology to gain more power. Violent wars break out and humanity is divided into two societies. Followers and wealthy people live in a modern, guarded city. Disobedient people are excluded and struggle for survival, because the outside world is almost uninhabitable due to the wars and nuclear contamination. An underground organization under the direction of Professor Layton and Emmy, Luke and Clive emerges. Layton blames himself for the situation because he found the Relics Stones and clarified their time travel skills, which ultimately led to the production of time machines. Now he is doing everything to protect the people who are excluded and built dome cities, which ensure a survival.

Later, he lures the younger Layton and Luke into the future, as he wants to prevent the events from happening again. Eventually, they team up and develop a plan to destroy all time machines to rid the world of unscrupulous politicians.
