Grace is genuinely my favorite protagonist i've ever read about. I've not yet watched the movie but i read and am rereading the book and let me tell you. He is my son. Like. I've adopted him. And yk what i think rocky and adrian courting him once hes used to living on erid is cute too 😋

Uhh just remembered i had the option to post here, so PHM things i've done in the last few days

I restarted the book, made an oc (pictured) drew a few rockys (pictured) and got my nails done using inspo from space and phm (pictured. Thumb is supposed to be the petrova line) also pictured are some space themed doodles and some of my favorite lines from the book

Heres a list of my favorite older 2d movies and why you should watch them in no particular order, since i've mentioned it in my last post (some of these arnt really for art and stuff, more just enjoying, but i still think people can find cool poses within movies.. whatever lets just get to the list:

1 treasure planet. Space pirates, solar powered sails. Morph. (Search him up hes so cute)

2 Hercules. Greek mythology. Sound track. Meg. Danny DeVito voices phil

3 the emperors new groove. Kronk specifically. The jokes. Popular for a reason

4 the road to Eldorado. Treasure. Chel. Soundtraxk

5 Tarzan. Raised by apes. The soundtrack again. A love story but cute

6 mulan. Crossdressing for the greater good. Plot moves quickly. The SOUNDTRACK eheh

7 the prince of Egypt. It may be a biblical story which can push people away, but as someone whos not Christian Catholic or Luthern, i enjoy it for the animation and soundtrack. Also horse racing as the like first scene guys who doesnt love horse racing.

8 the hunchback of notre dame. Awwwww cute movie. Esmerelda. Adventure

9 Atlantis. CHARACTER DESIGNS. The plot it so good imo.. blue magic gasp

10 balto. Made me cry. Still good. Watch it

11 all dogs go to heaven. AWWWWWWWW

12 the sea beast. Father figure daughter figure. Amazing hair omg. Beautiful and i mean BEAUTIFUL beasts. The story is adorable.

13 how to train your dragon. Dragons. Zero to hero type shit. Soundtrack

14 Aladdin sound track. Jasmine specifically. The big ass tiger that has my whole heart even though i forgot his name

15 megamind.. just watch it. Meme potential. Jokes. We love a funny villian

I also have some series to share:

1 avatar the last airbender. Popular for a reason. Betrayal, amazing world building. Zuko awww

2 she-ra. Woman in power, cutesy characters.. yuri

3 kipo and the age of wonderbeasts. Character designs, backstories. Imagine waking up in a wild world pink, not knowing what to do then exploring.

4 gravity falls. Magic. Plot. All of it

5 star verses the forces of evil. Magic. Serious things happen to silly people

6 steven universe. Gems.. aw. Spinel...

7 the dragon prince.

There should prolly be an anime specific column but i'm lazy so i'm stopping here. Theres still so so many more movies and shows to add but i'm going to leave this open to other to add to it.

The main reason i did this list was to show the amazing 2d animated movies and whatever but i also wanted to mention that in these movies you can find things to help with art and stuff. Poses and lore plot ofc but also when you find a character you likd for the design pick out the parts that you really like about their design. Ie: jim hawkings in treasure planet. My boy has a shitty haircut for sure but his jawline and the colors he wears all match well which makes his design very coherent.. but yeah take things for your own art what are they gonna do beat you with a stick? No. Enjoy art. Just dont like copy and paste the character down and call it your own but yeah

I've decided that it might be nice to post a few other things i like to do with my ocs when i hit an art block

1 - go do something i think is incredibly boring and bring only a skecthbook with. Its like i'm forcing myself to do it and sometimes nothing gets done and sometimes i finish 3 pages in an hour and a half

2 - picsart of my ocs.. i mentioned this in my post i did like a minute ago. Fun, easy, amd you get to see what your ocs would look like in other people's art styles. Sometimes you can get really accurate and sometimes you cant but i think theres a joy in that

3 - gacha. Gacha life, gacha club, gacha life 2, gacha life online (roblox). Genuinely has got to be one of the best games to dress up your ocs in. My parents banned me from gacha so i looked for other dress up games and ended up re-downloading gacha less than a year later because it was the only one i actually liked. Gacha life 2 is very customizable, but i feel like theres not much for curly hair and more traditional black hairstyles, so i'm sorry about that😞

4 - write lore. WRITE IT I KNOW YOU NEED TO FIX THOSE PLOT HOLES. World building you know you need to

5 - okay so. Draw them? But like.. as stupid little doodles.

6 - draw OTHER CHARACTERS THAT ARNT YOURS. FANART FANART. MAKE IT DO IT ITS SO FUN,

7 - commission someone. Crazy me telling you to spend money. anyways. It helps🫰the joy of getting a drawing of something that you created is immense

8 - dont. Dont draw anything. Dont do anything art related. Drop it. Pick it all back up in a day or 2. Read a book, go on a walk. Pet your dog, watch a movie i dont care. Take a break because artblocks can sometimes be out of lack of inspiration. Genuinely take a break its not worth getting frustrated about

9 - doodle penisis. An entire page of genetalia. Not detailed. Just like. What you'd see in a highschool bathroom. Its stupid its weird it'll make you giggle.

10 - watch specifically old Disney movies. Like 2d animation and ones specifically not about the princesses. I'll leave a post on my profile on the ones i especially enjoy. Its another take a break thing but this ones rather specific because why Disney movies you ask? Well... the 2d animation really helps with clean poses where you can see what theyre doing, the older (when i say older i mean like 10 years. Thats over half my life therefore older) movies are pretty funny, and have cool plots😋

I realize i post like once in a blue moon but i've been like active for 3 consecutive days now and i like tumblr more than i ever liked tiktok. It feels like a nice change of pace and i'm not addicted to the app either i just open it, read peoples thoughts, see people discussing the dark side of the moon then get motivated to draw and close the app. It takes less than 20 minutes out of my day unless i'm specifically searching for something that i legit cant find. Thank you tumblr😛

Miku if she was in gachiakuta!??? Leek turns into a pointy looking microphone... the points are flimsy tho😼 the microphone instead projects sound 80% more than a regular microphone, she cant concentrate the sound though, so she has to make sure theres not too many cleaners around when she uses it, lest she pops someones eardrum🥹
