ALL I AM IS WHAT I’M AFTER
david fincher is the master of creating multi faceted, intriguing stories along with the insanity beneath it all. all of his films are masterpieces in all aspects. despite having running times of over two hours, nothing feels overdone or unnessecary. time is a delicate thing to deal with; it’s hard to utilize it in such a way that effectively impacts the audience while also ensuring that it actually makes sense, but fincher does this effortlessly. fincher is truly a master of establishing a sense of dread that grips you and never lets go until the ending. and even then, it’s no sigh of relief. you’re uncomfortable. THIS feeling of uncomfortableness is exactly why i want to make movies. when i create movies and make a theater full of people feel the way every fincher film has made me feel, i will not be content, but i will believe i can actually do this shit. my way. and have people appreciate that. i don't know why i'm even typing this out right now like it matters to any of you, but i feel like it's important. sorry if this post is all over the place, it’s very rare for me to feel resolute whenever i speak about fincher. happy birthday.
The Mindhunter Season 2 shooting reaches its halfway point
Mindhunter DP Erik Messerschmidt has just announced the beginning of the Mindhunter Season 2 “Block 3” shooting, its “halfway point”, with Director Carl Franklin.
Franklin’s will be the longest run, with 4 episodes, probably the most epic since apparently, they will depict the climax of the “Atlanta Child Murders” case and the social unrest it spurred in the affected and neglected African-American community.
