I have this headcannon in which after a while, Reyna didn’t need to use Aurum and Argentum to know if Jason was speaking the truth to her.  She started trusting him completely, and that’s why he got to find out her whole name.

In a parallel universe, it was Reyna and Annabeth whom Hera chose for the exchange.

Reyna had lost her memories and was sent to Camp Half-Blood with two other demigods. It was Percy who searched for Annabeth and Reyna went to a quest with two other male demigods, a son of Aphrodite and a son of Hephaestus, to rescue Hera for the hopes of regaining her memories.

Her vision tunneled to Jason, though in the corner of her eye she saw the blonde girl as she judo-flipped Percy and then kissed him. All she knew was that and then she buried her face into Jason’s chest.

“I was so scared, I didn’t know who you were.” she cried, “I was scared to have forgotten you and then I would have fallen for someone else new.”

“I missed you, Reyna.” Jason said, “Thank you for not forgetting me,”

“You would have done the same for me.”

I just realised why I like Reyna so much.

Literally every Demi god is partnered off in Heroes of Olympus. 6 out of the 7 main demi-gods are dating each other. Leo has Calypso. Nico even gets Will by the end of the series. 

I generally try to avoid over the top love stories because honestly they make me feel shit about my own non-existent love life. Every piece of media I come across theres always at least one couple that cements the idea that true love makes you whole. And in Heroes of Olympus this is true for pretty much every character.

But then there’s Reyna.

As nice as it is that everyone gets a ‘happily ever after’ type deal, I’m glad that there’s one character who reinforces the idea that you don’t have to have another person to be whole.
