Could I ask how who drew your characters and how much they cost? I've been wanting to commission for my own story but I've been struggling to find artists who do this kind of character work so any advice or recommendations would be incredibly appreciated

She’s an absolute pleasure to work with! Her prices are comparable to other artists I’ve seen for this quality of work. The cost of each depended on what I wanted: the Viatica characters (half-body) were about $60-$70, while the Cantata characters (full body) were $90 a piece. The other pics varied based on level of detail, shading, etc. but around the same. I’d recommend reaching out to her directly for pricing.
I found her on Artistree, so that may be another good place for you to look. I saw her page there and fell in love with her art style. And the rest is history!
Forgive me for self promoting, I draw fanart and give free commission to VN and IF authors from time to time. If you are an author who want concept art, portraits or covers, I could provide art as placeholder. For free, just credit me is enough and go pay proper artist when you have the money. I don't take money so find someone else.
It is fine if you want to keep using my art in your project but go support artists who need it when you can.

Bela has not heard Kesha's voice in a while. Ever since the wolf arrived, Kesha has not shifted back. Maybe they have, but only in the privacy of their bedroom, because Bela has not seen them, or heard their voice.
It does not surprise the pack alpha, because they know their cousin, and when Kesha is stressed or feeling ill, they strongly prefer to remain in their wolf shape. Either that or they are too anxious to shift.
So Bela is quite surprised to find their cousin in their bedroom, that evening. Kesha's voice is raspy from unuse when they ask, "how are they doing? Did..." they clear their throat, and their eyes are full of self-conscious hesitation, "did my amulets work?"
Bela almost does not have the heart to tell them the truth. But after a moment they nod, because they will not lie to their family.
"No. I'm sorry."
Kesha's face falls even more. Bela can visibly see the signs of their distress. Of their guilt.
"It's not your fault," they hurry to say. "Kesha, please. Don't feel guilty. Maybe the amulets need more time. We have to keep hoping."

Hello everyone, thank you for your patience. The update is here! It brings: -11k new words of narrative added to the game’s total! -New content warning, “Violence against children,” added to the warning label. -New details sprinkled throughout Chapter 1, including more detailed character descriptions, new details about the abandoned house in the Explore Town path, and a quick overhaul of Jude’s introduction. -A new stat in the stats screen! Players can now keep track of the Rot’s spread through the New World! -New details sprinkled into Chapter 2 Homestead path, mostly for female MC. -Chapter 2 Only child/ Hearthsend route has been unlocked, and the first 10k words are available to read! -This background is entirely separate from the homestead path, and while it covers many of the same themes, everything will play out uniquely. -So far, you can meet new characters, define how trusting your child MC is, and maybe learn more about what MC’s mom is getting into. Hope y'all enjoy!

Early Access of Lab Rat is Go!
Hey everyone, I got a new demo served up on Patreon and Ko-fi if you'd like to sample it early. It weighs in at 66k words between the new prologue and Chapter 1.
It will be posted publicly at the end of August, but if you want to support me and line up to the buffet early, you are welcome to. You can sub for $4 USD at the Crow Tier to access it. If you don't want to sub, Patreon also sells just the post itself for the same flat price, but this does not give access to other posts.
The new demo is expanded, letting you experience the MC's rescue and parts of their recovery from their eyes, meet 2 out of the 3 new ROs (including one fine-smelling janitor), and learn new things about your world. And, if you take a shine to our frisky janitor, there's a spicy scene with him in there as well...
If you do decide to sub and have an interest in influencing the game, I am taking comments and opinions on how to implement the MC's personality from subscribers!

@wolfsetfree-if, Bela fanart finished! Bela is pissed! Saw the ask about how fluffy they are, this is how I imagine the body underneath. They are super puffed up because they are pissed. Like how Ghibli character hair shoot up spiky when they are pissed.
