It's been a while of resisting and hiding the emotions. It's been a while of pretending it gets better. That being an adult makes all the teenage problems go away. But it was never just a teenage thing was it. It started long before the teenage years. And will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Rainbow outside Auschwitz Birkenau just as I was leaving... and of course right when my camera ran out of battery. It was beautiful and very poignant. I know I'm not normally one to believe in that sort of thing, but it filled me with hope and an almost spiritual feeling of remembrance and honour for those who suffered there.

And I was expecting raspberry... bit of a shock!
