@bonecastlefr for Viper, @jollyroger-fr for Wrath! Out making new friends.
Part one - Part two
There is a mountain in the distance.
Time to reshuffle the lair to account for recent plots. Which⦠Iām just gonna list here for quick reference. (tagging people who may be interested: @fenixofthedark, @cerelinflies, @unkorea, @avalonianrising, @grimdragons, @diseaseapedia)
Akaantal Band:
Ā Shedzra and Mulsekrah staged a coup against Hixono. Lockjaw, Fleisch, Nosmediiz, got dragged into things on their side. Hixonoās been badly wounded and currently deemed unfit for leadership, so Yazva has taken his place.
Since the Twins (Kotep and Kotyc), Haastal, Talāgalar, and Kyrābes had betrayed Mulsekrah and Shedzra and had instead defended the other band members, they were allowed to stay.
Shedzra, Lockjaw, Mulsekrah, and Nosmediiz are currently being held prisoner while their judgement is decided upon. Fliesch escaped.
Talāgalar is tempted to speak up for Lockjaw, as she does not have much free will left at all and did not directly attack Hixono. Sheās held her tongue because Lockjaw did attack Werda, Yazvaās unofficial partner.
Kyrābes seems quite pleased about something.
Clan Mask / Court of Besīseī:
Rheic has returned from her lengthy stay in the Plaguelands, but her mind has been further corrupted by Plague magic and is unstable when around others. Tethys is her constant guardian, both for Rheicās sake and anyone else she meets.
Tethys has claimed a small territory of ocean near the Shrieking Wilds (and Clan Mask) where she keeps Rheic out of trouble. She has managed to take three young dragons under her wing: Murk, Aderyn, and a secretive Skydancer. (This group is on the cusp of piracy.)
Rheicās āFinal Heirā has taken his place at the head of the Court of BesÄ«seÄ«, and is in negotiations with Clan Mask to combine the Court and Clan more fully.
This joining of groups is mainly happening because Emrys has disappeared. No one knows where he has gone. Iari and her daughter (and granddaughter) have no interest in leadership, but as they are respected by others of the clan, a joint leadership between Rheicās heir and Emrysā heir may happen.
With the help of Iari and DrillRun, Ruska has been voluntarily restrained by rock and magic near the outskirts of the clan proper as part of a āgateā. She knew her actions were becoming too unpredictable and this way, all visitors must pass under her knowing eyes.
Ey, I bought Fleisch. Are you cool with me using this as a base when creating a character for her?
@bonecastlefr Viper hears a who. @jollyroger-fr Wrath is the who.
Part one
The Contagion is a dark red line in the horizon behind him. Already does he miss the shelter; out here there is no protection, only bones cleaned of all meat and the occasional stubborn, leafless tree, like the one he is headed past. It is bent and twisted from the wind, the ashen wood looking like it died ages ago. He considers it a welcome sight and decides to treasure it; somehow he knows that the landscape from here on out will be monotone and dull.
He arrives at the Wandering Contagion late in the afternoon, a new name shaping in the heat of his mouth and a feeling like relief in his shoulders and chest. The air trembles with a pressing heat, almost like in the Labyrinth but without the sweet, full smell of ripe fruits and wet mud. It smells like a room that has been shut for hours, a warm, dead air that he would choose over the mix of flowers and plants a hundred times more.
Okay, hereās a lore update, mostly because Iām fed up with staring at these eternal gene projects and donāt want to waste more millions on them. Ignore the revamped lore thing I made, Iāve deleted all the evidence and the Wildwood Court never became anything but the castle of warriors and posh know-it-alls it started out as.
@bonecastlefr because Dhuvargha + Anargulās family, @quis-on-flightrising because of Shiva.
this apparel is too good ovo
I donāt have the energy to make a proper story out of it, but I got three dragons leaving, and for once I actually have some lore behind it, so:
Vheyla, despite being one of the most protected dragons in the clan, ends up in an accident and is mortally wounded. For being such a small piece in the puzzle, it has effects so high up as the Council; Sirel, being unable to save her and holding herself responsible, decides that she hasnāt learnt enough to be the main healer, and returns to her birth clan.
At around the same time, Thulite leaves to explore an unknown area in the Ashfall Waste. She doesnāt return.
I havenāt decided how itās gonna affect Pyrrha and Shiva, but itās a wakeup call that life isnāt a paradise and they canāt continue to fool around forever.
pearlcatchers are here! (confetti)
the PC base was a bribe for a sprite :> i really cant believe thereās only faes and wildclaws left to do. get your hoards here!
Quick showing off the clanās symbol before trying to go to bed. Itās based on Norse runes, Iāve gone and put my notes in a clever place but I think it may be the oak one. My friend was kind enough to draw over it digitally + add leaves, so now Iāll hopefully stick with the same bio layout for a while because I gotta show it off.
Iām thinking itās embroidered on banners that the ambassadors wear + flags and banners on the castle walls and territory borders. Itās also on the chest plates of the warriors who actually wear proper armour, which is a lot of dragons, but only like two of the current characters.
Flight Rising commission for Katta
Such a beautiful skydancer *o*
I have WBW questions for you about... Breed Changes! Do you have a breed changed dragon where the change was in-lore, as in they remember having been a different breed previously? Why did they seek out the change, or what happened that caused it? Or if you don't have any dragons that fit these questions (maybe change scrolls aren't in-lore for you or whatever), who in your lair would change if they could, and to what new breed instead of the one they are now?
Breed changes isnāt something Iāve thought much about lore-wise to be honest, when I first started playing FR I explained the scrolls as something the deities gifted the dragons for one reason or another. Most of the times Iāve used scrolls Iāve just flatly ignored the whole ordeal and pretended they hatched that way, like occasionally anomalies happen and the hatchling differs from the parents a lot more than expected.
But with the Malachite that drops in the Crystal Pools we found out that Scrolls do exist canonically, so. I suppose they could be made by dragons, perhaps the thing that makes breed change scrolls differ from each other is a drop or two of blood from a dragon of that breed?
Anyway, no, currently I do not have any breed changed dragons whose change happened in-lore. The dragon whoād most likely want to change their breed would probably be Sirel, as her large size sometimes makes it a challenge to heal the smallest dragons, and sheās always nervous about Emperors when working on the battlefield. Probably she would want to change into a Skydancer or Pearlcatcher, because theyāre medium-sized and have limbs that make it easy to hold things and work with precision, but itās not something she considers seriously.
How does Yaa's blood magic work, and what does she use it for? How do others find her style of leadership? What's Drifter's past--if he knows it, and if he doesn't, why not? How did he end up in the Labyrinth, anyway?
Yaa:
Yaaās blood magic works in a few different ways, but mostly she uses her own blood in experiments with potions and the creation of magic items. It is a very powerful ingredient if itās used correctly, and she learnt how to do it from her mother. Morality keeps her from using other creaturesā blood if she can, and besides, she has found that the result is usually stronger if itās made with the casterās own blood.
In a desperate moment she may decide to use it to control others - sort of like blood-bending in Avatar. Itās very difficult, and sheās not a very strong blood mage, so she can only control others that way for a short time, and it exhausts her quickly. Itās not something she would enjoy doing, either, because of her morals.
-
Others think her style of leadership seems strict and cold-hearted, mostly. You learn only to come to her with the big problems, because sheāll completely ignore the smaller ones. Sheās excused though - when sheās the leader of a huge army, she canāt afford to spend her time on small fights that dragons can fix on their own. And while sheās brutal and direct, most begin to think that sheās reasonable, once theyāve gotten used to her.
Drifter:
Drifterās past is very hazy to him, all of his memories are unclear and jumbled together, but he remembers being tired from travelling and being scolded, as well as other small and seemingly useless things. His poor memory still affects him, and itās rare that he remembers the day when he goes to sleep.
He doesnāt know what happened, but there is a huge gap that separates his memories of his birth clan and his current, lonely, life. He suspects something happened then, he just doesnāt know what.
If you asked him why he ended up in the Labyrinth, he wouldnāt be able to answer, but it was mostly an injured dragon wandering across flight borders while looking for a safe place. The Labyrinth isnāt particularly safe, but as long as he stays close enough to the inhabitants of the Court, he is indirectly protected by the guards there, and it keeps him from leaving.
Information about the Wildwood Court
It took me roughly a week, but here is pretty much all the information there is to know about the Wildwood Court! Itās a bit long, but it should be fairly coherent and easy to understand, so if youāre curious then feel free to read.
Iām sure everyoneās seen this girl in my sales post. Iām glad to say she now has full lore according to the prompt given! It can, of course, be changed as the buyer sees fit. :)
Some jobs ideas for her: chemist, taxonomist, artist.

I would like to take a moment to enrich everyoneās life by drawing attention to this amazing excerpt from the profile of kattafrās Namol:
Youāre welcome.
(Text is a bullet point list that reads: -Has a son. No one likes to think about this fact. -Angry librarian. -Illiterate.)
IM HOWLING
fun fact: Namolās unfinished blurb of a bio is the one that seems to get the most attention, despite there being nearly a full front page of actually finished bios to choose from. itās almost to the point where iāll feel bad about removing it once i get to work on him properly, hahah.
