1045: Journey of no return

In a faraway land, a group of adventurers faces their destiny. The events will force the group's captain to reconsider his life, but he will have to pay a high price to change.

They have a mission: to deliver a package to the dungeon wizard. The only thing standing between them and conpleting it is a massive beast.

Survive!! AU slop because I have a problem. Here's the surviving crew members after the crash 16-17 years later!

Orion Carling (late 50's) recovers and goes through multiple surgeries and physical therapy sessions to achieve his peak male physique again. He also paid a little extra to get his hair back. He stays isolated for the most part; living off of disability checks, guilt and shame, and working out what's left of his arms and calves.

Anya Noname (mid 40s) survives the Tulpar tragedy and saves the Captain, returning home with the same problems she had before and a little extra trauma. She is a rehabilitation nurse at her community clinic trying to make a normal living off of takeout, prescription drugs, and aerobic exercise video tapes. Either way, she picks up smoking in the process.

They both drift apart after getting rescued home to survive their own separate hells on Earth, only having sent each other a few letters when Curly was going through recovery. Almost 18 years later, they are brought together again by something that forces them to revisit old memories they fought to forget. I will reveal what that something is in good time :)
