hi lovelies!

regarding my ao3 account: i have locked my fics on there. unfortunately, my fics that i had moved over there have been scraped since i was too slow to lock them down.

this is very disheartening since i’ve been working away diligently on a few series to post here and on ao3 and now my work has been taken to fuel AI.

i wont say anything else cause i am grossly unqualified to comment on anything else aside from how unjust and disgusting this is in general and how discouraging and heartbreaking this is as a writer whose work was stolen - so i sign this off with a wish:

someone using AI ends up getting the most unhinged, unholy, I-need-to-sit-in-a-corner-and-think, smutty, pop-culture-defining AI generated work EVER. i am talking the deep, dark, venture-if-you-dare ao3-level works (we all know they are there)

hiii you probably dont remember me but about a year ago I learned that you were studying criminology and I said I was looking up to you well lets say I’m in university right now in Turkiye but forensics and criminology isnt the best choices for our country so I wanted to take the exams for abroad universities. I would appreciate if you could share your experiences with me 🥹

hi lovely! of course i remember you!! i actually think about you time to time and have hoped you were doing well! i competed my degree in criminology and psychology two years ago and i am currently getting a second bachelor’s degree with a specialization in neuroscience (why i’ve been mia recently).

I have to admit, in canada, you need to honours in psychology in order to go any further which i did not do because my university failed to give me adequate advising when i reached out in my second year asking what i needed to do to succeed on my path for forensic psych - but, alas, i unfortunately did not have the requirements. i transferred my credits to my current university where i intended to get my honours by completing the honour classes but i ended up falling in love with neuroscience so i switched my major of to it.

i still don’t know what i want to do, but this degree opens up more possibilities for me and i plan to just apply for grad programs and med school and a bunch of different things and see what sticks.

i would encourage you to take those exams - it opens up so many different doors for you! not just with the possibilities afterward but with your experiences! and with international students, there is funding and support available if you apply. you never know unless you try lovely!!

I can’t believe how far we’ve gotten as a society only for everything to turn on its axis because of men like trümp and müsk.

i am so sorry lovely! i’ve been so overwhelmed with the political environment and school.

luckily, i am in canada so i am not under trump, but certainly feeling the effects and the concern. also, since his original election and the nonsense he spews, it has made the political landscape in canada very tense. with our federal election called today, concern weights heavy on my mind given current world events but i am holding out hope the PCs are floundering and their popularity is depleting given current state of affairs.

since the united states have been back on tiktok, i haven’t really been on it for a multitude of reasons, but largely cause i do not feel that tiktok is safe now. it was all too convent for trump and his crooks, but i stumbled upon this video and its extremely important. there is a reason trump took it away and gave it back, control. we have seen similar behaviours/tactics in the past and in narcissists and abusive situations.

tiktok is below. this is not fear mongering, this is not an over exaggeration. america is in danger. maybe this tiktok thing was a distraction, maybe people are putting too much weight into it, but it is still indicative of something bigger. please be safe to all the americans.

On twitter I’m seeing dozens of threads from Black activists warning people against burnout, giving all sorts of useful tips about preventing and managing it for the sake of a long-term, sustainable effort.

On tumblr I’m seeing a hell of a lot of young white kids yelling at anyone who actually follows those steps, and acting like burnout is a moral falling rather than a well-proven psychological phenomenon.

Be careful who you get your information from. Don’t let guilt lead you to make choices that will harm both you and the movement.

remember lovelies, as the younger generation, we have been through so many historical political events and even now, we are facing uncertainty in many western countries (actually, most countries in general). avoid burnout before you just stop caring and end up stop fighting. we need people to care. we need people to vote. we need people to continue to be activists. don’t burn out. don’t end up giving up the fight because these fights will make a change at some point.

oh lovely, it is a whole lifetime story that’s so complex ha ha! my paternal grandfather died recently and most of my generational trauma comes from that side of the family alone. his death was just hitting harder than i thought and it was because i never really got closure from anyone in that family since we were pretty much shunned from it when i was like seven or something.

but anywho, enough about my childhood traumas and the fact that neither side of my family even remotely resembled a “typically” family😅.

genuinely, thank you so much for asking lovely and checking in, i appreciate it and i’ve gotten so much love from my “found” family members this past few weeks. it warms my little heart💛!
