New Belgium Trippel Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

This beer used to have a cock on it. Now it has 3 ladies. We're not entirely sure why. What we do know is that this is a tasty beer with high alcohol content that starts off great and loses it's luster as you go. Nevertheless, 6 out of 10 Caps from The Bros. Papst. Will definitely drink again, but will probably look for offerings from smaller, local breweries first. Cheers!

Samuel Adams Sam ‘76 Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

You may have seen this one in stores recently. Best we can come up with is this is Samuel Adams' attempt at "Hey! We can do a normal canned beer, too!" 4 of out 10 Caps from The Bros. Papst. A BeerAdvocate reviewer described it as "insipid" and we couldn't agree more.

Devil’s Backbone Mile 842 Hoppy Lager Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

This "hoppy lager" didn't feel like something we could fully trust at first. Turns out it's not that bad. 6 out of 10 Caps from The Bros. Papst because it tastes like an "IPA with more flavor" and was "tangy." Not our favorite offering from Devil's Backbone, but further confirmation that this awesome Virginia brewery can do no wrong.

Starr Hill Last Leaf Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

No offense, but this is the last "Last Leaf" we will be having. Starr Hill Brewery's "Last Leaf" was a big let down. We love our Virginia brewer friends... but we have to keep it real. "Last Leaf" screamed "fall beer" with it's branding, but didn't deliver in a way that we'd expect from a seasonal offering like this. Among it's flaws, the biggest was probably that this "Real Virginia Maple Brown Ale" didn't taste like maple or brown ale. The Bros. Papst had no choice but to give this seasonal a 2 out of 10 Caps.

The Great Pumpkin Beer Showdown of 2018 (by 2 guys who don't typically enjoy pumpkin beer.)

Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout (2018) Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

Ross and Stephen couldn't wait to get their taste buds on this annual release from Stone Brewing Company. We don't know what a Farking Wheaton is, or a wOOt, for that matter. But what we do know is this: this is a beer for sharing with friends that love stouts or dark beers that are aged in barrels of delicious rye bourbon. Beer lovers... you need to try this one. 10 out of 10 Caps from The Bros. Papst!

Legend Oktoberfest 2018 Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

This one hurt us a bit. Richmond, VA's oldest brewery has a special place in our hearts, but we gotta keep it real with you guys. Legend Brewery's Oktoberfest 2018 was not our favorite marzen ever... definitely not the best Legend beer we've had... possible the worst (so sorry, Legend. We love you.) We gave this one 3 out of 10 Caps. We're not proud, but we stand by our review.

Port City Optimal Wit Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

Ross and Stephen Papst just couldn't stop smelling this funky, floral witbier. Port City Brewing's Optimal Wit is packed full of flavor. If you're looking for something refreshing, but also a little different, give this one a shot. A hearty 7 out of 10 Caps from The Bros Papst on this one. Cheers!

Blue Mountain “A Hopwork Orange” Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

Ross & Stephen Papst didn't want this beer to end. Blue Mountain Brewery's orange-infused IPA was a citrusy treat that was not only the first canned beer they reviewed together, but was the also the first brew to score a perfect 10 out of 10 Caps! Delicious, well-balanced... a beautiful hazy orange-color... when Blue Mountain printed on the can that this beer could be enjoyed "in season, all season" they weren't lying.

Iron Line Coal Pusher Porter Beer Review (for the rest of us.)

Ross and Stephen Papst discover their very first "conspiracy beer" in this review of Ohio's own Coal Pusher Porter from Iron Line Brewing... which is also from some place called World Brews... which sounds super sketchy. Anyways, The Bros. Papst gave this beer a 2 out of 10 Caps and feel like people should just avoid it completely.

Ross and Stephen Papst enjoy this swarthy offering from Devil's Backbone Brewing Company. Their Black Lager dons a "moody" bottle and a full flavor... perhaps the most prominent... COFFEE. The Bros. Papst were a bit divided on this one, but it still resulted in a mighty 8 out of 10 Caps.
