Papyrus redesign!!!

Every so often I like to draw the canon Papyrus sprite and compare it to my design, and then tweak my design based on that. It’s been a while, so here we go again!

I doubt that I’ll switch fully away from my anime boy glammed up papyrus… I like my triangles. But this was a fun exercise and I think I’m definitely going to try drawing Papyrus thicker from here on out.

So, whenever I feel so, I ONCE AGAIN try to recreate my favourite sai brush, in Procreate this time. It still needs work but I’m very close. I think I’m succeeding.

I ONCE TRIED TO WASH THAT SCUFFED OLD THING WHILE HE WAS TAKING ONE OF HIS NAPS, BUT WHEN I TOOK IT OFF HE WAS WEARING ANOTHER IDENTICAL ONE UNDERNEATH! AND ANOTHER! I GOT THROUGH TEN MORE LAYERS OF THE SAME THING BEFORE HE WOKE UP. I WAS SO FRUSTRATED! WHERE DID HE EVEN GET THOSE FROM? THEY ALL EVEN HAD THE SAME STAINS!!

first meeting

(collaboration with @mihtya)

this is a collab we made with my buddyfriend. we both came up with the idea, she did the overall composition, sketch and linework on Papyrus, and i colored the drawing.

this is both my first collab work and one of the most massive art projects i've ever done. im relatively. proud. i guess. there is still room for improvement but if i look at this any more my head will explode.
