    “No, no, it wasn’t wrong. I was just… surprised, that’s all.” How to explain that it felt a little awkward for her to be hugged by a complete stranger? And without sounding rude while explaining it?

   “AH—RIGHT! YOU DO HAVE A POINT THERE! I BET IT WAS A SURPRISE!” Perhaps, he should have asked rather than jumping straightly to the hug but he couldn’t help it in the slightest. The look on her face seemed sad—that or she was absentmindedly thinking about something that could’ve troubled her. 

   “IT’S JUST... FOR A BRIEF MOMENT, YOU LOOKED A BIT BLUE. I APOLOGISE IF I MADE YOU UNCOMFORTABLE, I HAVE A YOUNGER BROTHER SO I ASSUMED THAT’S WHAT MADE ME ACT IN THE FIRST PLACE.”

   “I hope you don’t mind if I ask about that free meal, Whiskey.” Papyrus said once he had entered the place—a familiar looking Grillby’s restaurant yet it wasn’t like the others. For once, it was located in the void rather than in a timeline which made it particular but not less comfortable. The tall skeleton had always admired how at ease the place made everyone feel, worries that could be brushed away until one had to leave.

   “WHY DO YOU LOOK SO SURPRISED OVER A HUG? WAS IT WRONG?” Well, he didn’t think it was but one could never be too sure when it came to the comfort zone of each individual in particular. If that turned out to be the case, he’d instantly apologise to her yet her expression showed confusion at the very least.

    When he heard his brother not too far away, Sansdy glanced up to see him to see that Papyrus looked nervous. He hadn’t meant to trip–then again he never did. But seeing the look on his older brother’s face, it made Sansdy himself rub the back of his head with a nervous laugh.

         “Heh, yeah, I’m fine. Sorry for scaring you, Paps.” He said, taking hold of the taller’s hand and hoisting himself to his feet, brushing off his clothes. “Just tripping over air, no big deal.”

   The nervous laughter was enough for him to feel relieved, that stress he felt suddenly lifting away from his shoulders. Perhaps he worried too much because he cared in an equal way about Sansdy.

   Pulling his brother up to help him regain balance on his feet, a smile was present in his skull—this one looking far more natural than the previous one that had been replaced.

   “DON’T WORRY...I AM GLAD TO KNOW YOU ARE ALRIGHT BUT IT IS A BIG DEAL!” For him, at least. “TRY TO BE MORE CAREFUL NEXT TIME.”

           “Oop!” Sansdy called out as he tripped over air. Falling to the ground, the younger’s hand held onto his forehead. He never said he was the most graceful of being’s, even a dancer could trip after all.

   And there he goes his younger brother, clumsy as usual. One could expect from Papyrus to be used to this behavior but in reality, he constantly kept an eyesocket out for his sibling---not wanting him to get hurt with anything but. . . 

                                                                    how could he protect Sansdy from himself? 

   Offering a small yet nervous smile at that familiar sight, he spoke worriedly “OH GOSH, SANSDY--! ARE YOU ALRIGHT? HERE LET ME HELP YOU.” In the following moment, Papyrus had extended his hand for his brother to reach.

Having his brothers arms around him, Sansdy felt that safety that he's always felt with his older brother. There was a bright smile on the smaller's face as he nuzzled into Papyrus' chest. "How are you? It's felt like it's been forever since I've seen you!"

That familiar warmness that only a family bond could share, it was a nice feeling. Papyrus was quick to return a bright smile of his own as he sheepishly replied, truthfully it did feel like forever. “ɪ ᴀᴍ ᴀʟʀɪɢʜᴛ! ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴀ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ʙᴜꜱʏ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴏꜱɪɴɢ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛʀʏɪɴɢ ɴᴇᴡ ʀᴇᴄɪᴘᴇꜱ ᴛᴏᴏ. ᴡʜᴀᴛ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ʏᴏᴜ, ʙʀᴏᴛʜᴇʀ?”

Here comes Sansdy just barreling in. "PAPYRUS!!!!" He yelled as he clung to the taller. For a thirty-one year old, the pink skeleton was a hyperactive one.

The taller was grateful that, despite such nice surprise, he still managed to keep his balance. Otherwise, it could’ve been painful for the other. “ꜱᴀɴꜱᴅʏ!” Almost instantly, he wrapped his arms around his brother.
