New Guinea Amau frog

this frog is native to eastern Papua New Guinea and is one of the smallest discovered frogs in the world.

It measures 7.7 millimetres (or 0.3 inches) in snout to vent length as scientists call it.

It was found in 2009 in the leaf litter of the tropical ranforests, and despite this frogs small size its loud mating call can be heard echoing throughout the forest.

It has a lot of predators due to its size and lack of defense, larger frogs,reptiles, birds, and sometimes even spiders would eat them.

It's only way to avoid being eaten is too escape and use its camouflage to try and avoid detection.

And of course with the CO2 emmissions thing right now it's more obvious than ever that TS holds enough power over literally the entire world than most people can even begin to comprehend. Yet somehow all her fans are convinced that all the petty ego fights she gets in on twitter are actually a Misogyny Issue and she is overly criticized and hated on because she is a woman (which is super unique of her and definitely not something that over 50% of the industry also is)

Like obviously misogyny is real and Taylor, like every other woman, is subjected to it. But there is such a thing as context and when it comes down to it the backlash Taylor faces as a woman is minuscule compared to the incredible amount of privilege and entitlement she has as a white burgeois first worlder cishet able bodied neurotypical thin conventionally attractive etc etc etc etc celebrity, which actually makes her less likely to face consequences for her actions and encounter backlash, not more. Especially outside of a music industry/celebrity-only context

But because she is part of one (1) oppressed group she has managed to milk that for all its worth and convince her fans that actually she has no power, no privilege, no ways to shield herself from well deserved criticism and absolutely anyone who speaks against her in any way or context is just being an agent of oppression against her, one of the most sheltered people in the world. This dog, Dusky, was a very influential dog for Tibetan Terriers but also a controversial one. This dog caused so much uproar that the breed split into two groups, dogs that came from Dusky and dogs that didn't.

You may wonder why this happened and why he remains controversial, but the reason is actually quite simple. Dusky was actually a stray dog that was found in Liverpool in the 1950s and was not a Tibetan Terrier at all. Since the studbook was not closed at the time, he was registered and even gained his championship title. He was likely a terrier mix of some kind (which Tibetan Terriers aren't, despite their name).

A family member reached out to me today about letting her very sick dog go. There's this beautiful video by a Lap of Love co-founder and veterinarian on how to know "when it's time" and I shared that with her. I want to share that here as well because I think not enough people know about it.

The video is here and if you're struggling with making a decision about your beloved pet I can't recommend it enough. No quality of life worksheet, no other resource helped me as much as this video did.

It's a deeply compassionate but clear-headed, calm, and balanced look at the whole picture of caring for an animal in the end stages of life, how to decide it's the right time to let go, and how to make the overall experience just a little gentler.

This is truly a resource I wish everyone who was making this decision had access to, so that's why I'm sharing it.
