seniors night 2014 spring theme
Funny thing happened today. Our helpers 4-years old daughter and one of our neighbors son were playing and while I was inside my room they knocked on my door asking if they could play with me. And I spent the afternoon with them. I felt really giddy just watching them talk and play. It made me flashback to my own childhood. I don't know why, but I really find puppy love so cute. :p

A quick glimpse of the past..
Yesterday, my friend Che had to meet up with her clients from Kong Hua. And so, she asked me a favor to go with her. I didn't have any plans for the day, so with my more than usual enthusiastic front, I went with her to the place I spent almost half of my lifetime in--my middle school. Here's a few pictures I took on my brief visit (I kinda wished I took more)..
Kong Hua School. Yes, I went to a Chinese school. And no, I am not Chinese.

We spent most of our time here while waiting for Chinese classes to end and our afternoon classes to start. I can still remember playing jackstones on that floor on my gradeschool days.

Grade school wing. I have had my share of tardiness stories back in middle school. This clock is a witness of many. Haha

Walking.. and in my head were Sylvia Plath's words "I act and react, and suddenly I wonder, 'Where is the girl that I was last year? Two years ago? What would she think of me now?"
Flashbacks of memories went inside my head like pictures on a slideshow with every turn I had on my short visit to my alma mater. Nostalgia was like raging bullets shooting me straight in the head with every step I took in the schools hallways. Equally both good, and bad.
I'd like to think I am so much more now than who I was back in middle school. I have been through a lot since then and I know I have grown. Today was a reminder that I did grow. It pays to look back from where you once were to remind yourself that life only moves forward.

One of the things I love is finding new pretty shops in the city. And this one here really gets me. I love everything about it's interiors! So chic and girly. Haha! One of my current favorite song. Perhaps one of the characters/virtue I’ve mustered through the years is “patience”. I don’t know, I’m not sure. But I’d like to believe so. I will wait for you, no matter how long and lonely it’ll take.
