Last week we explored the abandoned 5-star hotel Monte Palace on the island of Sao Miguel in the Azores. Built in the 80s overlooking the amazing Sete Cidades, the hotel failed almost immediately and fell into ruin. The views are still amazing though…

This is one of the coolest abandoned hotels I’ve ever been to, but someone recently bought it and is redoing the hotel! It’s kinda sad because I feel like it being abandoned is what attracts so many people, so visit while you can guys!

In June of 2017 we took a trip to Sao Miguel (Açores). For ten days we toured this beautiful and wild island visiting its cliffs, lighthouses, lakes of volcanic origin and waterfalls among exuberant vegetation. This time lapse is a small summary of the wonders you can find in The Green Island.
