World Update (May 25th, 2018): With all of creatures running around, it’s important to keep tabs on the happenings of the world. These mini news installment give updates about current events taking place around the globe. You’re more than welcome to use them as plot devices in threads or starters!
Kanto: Recently, there have been sightings of a very large creatures taking up quite a bit of space on Route 12, and blocking the road that leads out. While it doesn’t appear hostile, it’s difficult to tell as it’s sound asleep and impossible to wake up. We urge those in the area to use caution, or try a different path.
Johto: Packs of wild dog-like creatures have been spotted roaming the more populated cities. They can apparently breathe fire, and are active primarily at night. They have been coming out of the woods to steal smaller animals and food from the homes of people who reside in these cities. They are vicious, and attack when confronted. We urge those nearby to not engage with them.
Hoenn: For some reason, violent storms are becoming more frequent and heavy rainfall as already caused some of the smaller lakes and rivers to overflow. A thunderstorm warning is currently in effect, and we urge those who do not need to go outside to remain safe within their homes until the weather dies own. A certain professor believes this could be the work of one of the strange creatures.
Sinnoh: The mines in Oreburgh City have been declared off limits by officials after five workers were found dead by the local police. With the condition their bodies were in, it’s likely the work of something inhuman. Police have been unsuccessful in identifying the cause, as a result, no access to the mines will be granted until the problem can be addressed and it’s deemed safe to travel through them as a result.
Unova: Power has been unstable in the big cities, resulting in the shut-down of countless facilities and creating unsafe environments throughout the region. Without a stable source of power, the region has been struggling to keep everything up and running, but the lack of power seems to be related to strange creatures that resembled living gears that have taken to camping out beneath large cities.
Kalos: Lumiose City has been overrun by hostile monsters, forcing residents to take shelter within their homes as they destroy the city. The police are doing all they can to keep the situation under control, but their weapons appear to have little effect on the beasts who have been stealing food and other resources from the locals. We urge you to stay away from the city until the reason for this invasion can be found.
Alola: A group of strangely dressed ruffians have been spotted throughout the island, they’re using the chaos to their advantage and harassing the townsfolk. Their motives are unknown, but the police are currently investigating. They are urging citizens to not engage with these criminals, and to flee if they happen to across them.
