Hello all! I'm running a little community appreciation project to give thanks to our favorite sky creators of 2023, so any submissions to this form would be really appreciated:
Finishing up 2023 by giving some love to the memers, streamers, artists, writers, musicians, animators, walkthrough-makers, and so on and so
You can submit video creators, streamers, artists, writers, walkthrough-makers, and basically anyone who's shared creative works that have made your year better. 2023 has been a tough year for many, so I want to spead a bit of holiday cheer for those who make our day better, give us a laugh, and bring us joy through their creative efforts.

Sky Creator Appreciation Final Showcase!
It’s time! After so much response collecting and reading and organizing and tracking people down (for their pages of course) I’m finally ready to present all 100+ creators YOU sent in who made 2023 better! Whether they’ve posted Sky once, twice, or a hundred times, the community has come together to show their appreciation for those who shared their work with us.
(Quick note: I've tagged as many of these creators as I can on here and on Youtube, but I would appreciate it so much if you all checked out the pages of some of the people listed and let them know we're thankful for them! Also: Many of the creators listed here speak languages other than English, so I deeply regret and apologize that I am not able to accommodate for them! If I end up doing this project again I’ll ask around for volunteer translators as needed so everyone can feel every ounce of appreciation they deserve!)
Guides
Starting off strong with our favorite helpers and guides, the outpouring of love and appreciation for these creators was just incredibly massive. Full of lovely personal anecdotes of times where they felt lost or confused and one of these creators saved the day, these responses were some of my favorite to read (but I’ll probably end up saying that about all of them). I’ve even tuned in to some of these creators myself, both as a moth and as a more experienced player today, so I’m so happy to present Clement and Io (instagram.com/ourskyjourney), Dorqui (Youtube: Dorqui), Nastymold (Youtube: Nastymold), Noob Mode (Youtube: Noobmode), SkyJerald (Youtube: Skyjerald), Sky Guide (Youtube: ValForestGramps), and VizSky (Youtube: Vizsky) as creators the community deeply cherishes and appreciates. These creators were praised most for their dedication, with responses appreciating the consistency of their uploads as well as the thoroughness of their explanations, walkthroughs, and infographics. These creators were also called beacons of strength for the community, lending their time and efforts to providing invaluable guidance in all areas of Sky, from dailies and season quests to secret OOB hideouts and styling cosmetics. But beyond helpful knowledge, I received many responses telling me about the motivation these creators have given them. Whether it was a kind voice to listen to or a boost in confidence for someone struggling, I was told that this group uplifted and strengthened many on the verge of burnout. So thank you, to all our helpful guides listed above, for making 2023 better! And to all the guides who were not submitted, thank you as well! All of you are so very important, so please keep on sharing your wisdom with us all 💙
Streamers and Let's Players
Speaking of kind voices, this next section shows some love to our favorite streamers and let's players to hang out with. Their fans were also so, so, so wonderful and I absolutely loved reading these responses as well. These creators are all so unique and many of them play way more games than just Sky, but the quality they all share are personalities people love as well as the comfort and enjoyment they provide that keeps people coming back. I’m happy to present Cherrypter (twitch.tv/cherrypter), GalacticTron (Youtube: Galactictron), KK Plays (Youtube: Kkplays), Old Man Sugarheart (Youtube: OldManSugarheart), AURELiA (Youtube: StarlitSiren), and Tara's Sky Journey (Youtube: TarasSkyJourney) as creators the community loves to chat with and share in the experience of the game. Cherrypter, GalacticTron, and Aurelia were submitted for their wonderful and welcoming personalities, as well as the fun and liveliness they bring to their streams. People love to watch these streamers for chaos and cozy vibes alike, and I was told that if you ever need a pick-me-up these streamers will make you feel right at home. KK Plays and Old Man Sugarheart were submitted by people who fell in love with their honest and charming experiences playing as a moth. They were captivated watching these creators explore, learning and growing as they went along, and also charmed by their pleasant and sometimes hilarious commentary. I received notes from people who loved watching all the firsts through new eyes, and both of these creators brought something unique to the experience. If you ever want to relive a bit of moth nostalgia and find yourself cheering someone on as they go through all the ups and downs, these are your people. On the other hand, Tara's Sky Journey is one of the earliest Sky youtube channels, and some fans of her older videos and streams were very happy to see her streaming Sky again last year. Tara was posting walkthroughs for Sky back in its earliest days, so her newer streams were especially interesting for those wanting to see how the new Aviary matched up to the old one. But more than old beta memories, Tara has a wonderful charm and insight to her commentary that people love and are always glad to see more of. For these creators who have made a space to chat, hang out, or just sit back and watch as they play, thank you for making 2023 better! And to all other streamers and let’s players, thank you as well! All of you are so wonderful, please keep sharing your company with us all 💙
Memers
Memers! You shared the love as well in these submissions, spanning the second widest selection of platforms and receiving the absolute funniest submissions arguing for your placement in this list. The senses of humor in this selection are beyond compare (and in one case, life-threatening), so I’m happy to present Ace Zero (Discord: @.ace_zero.), Aries (tiktok.com/@aries_skykid), Bread (tiktok.com/@breadestbowl), Bucket (Youtube: BucketBee), Butter Hoarder (Youtube: butterhoarder7980), Cheeseden (Youtube: cheeseratden), Emptea (Youtube: EmpteaSCOTL), Rae (tiktok.com/@liliumwhiteowl), Noxi (tiktok.com/@noxiii666), Val (tiktok.com/@penguinperformer), Peppur (Youtube: PeppuR565), Tacokid (tiktok.com/@sky_tacobell), Crexiez (tiktok.com/@skyirizz), Slesk (tiktok.com/@_slesk_), Tab (Youtube: tabarnliss), Cait (tiktok.com/@thatsky_.cait), and Willow (Discord: @willofthewispso) as creators overwhelmingly beloved by the people they entertain. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through this section of responses because, while many praised how hard these creators make them laugh, what I liked most was when there was an explanation for why. Each one of these creators has such a unique style and sense of humor, making light of anything from traveling spirits and painfully relatable Sky frustrations to OC content and sketches. I love that each and every one of these creators offer something different, and they appeal to so many different people for so many different reasons. People love Bread and Crexiez’s OCs, they love Peppur’s hat (I like Peppur’s hat), they love Cheeseden’s 2-4 minute videos every time there’s a traveling spirit, they love how Emptea videos make them choke on food from laughing so hard (Emptea fans PLEASE take care this response was so concerning), the list goes on forever! And for Bucket and Butter there was so much love and nostalgia in responses from fans who still watch their old videos to cheer themselves up. It touched me deeply that even after they’ve stopped posting Sky content they were still such a special part of so many people’s year. For these creators who lift our spirits and bring us so much joy and laughter, thank you for making 2023 better! And to all other memers and comedians out there, thank you as well! All of you have a very special audience that you’ve found or will find someday soon, so keep making people smile 💙
Artists
And now for the largest selection: Artists! Good heavens this group is massive, and this is but a teeny tiny fraction of the entire Sky art community! These masters of all mediums bring their imaginations to life and translate familiar characters and scenery into their own unique styles, and you guys loved SO many artists so very much. I’m happy to present deep breath Glacia (@agodth), AL (@albino-parakeet), AlphaStella_/Nazonazostars (Used to be on Twitter, still at poipiku.com/4869956), Amity (@amity206), Sharon Wang (@bearandmoon), Sasha (@beashi), Cinnamon (Discord: @binibinicinnamon), Vix (Discord: @blossicas), 绿圆 (twitter.com/Carmen_Greendy), Casualchaos (Discord: @casualchaos), Claudiaaa (twitter.com/ClaudiaaaAcant1), Crotch Goblins of the Light (@crotch-goblins-of-the-light), Dianthe (@danelloevee-sky), DARKDOG (@DARKDOG15566158), Deino (Discord: @Deino#4568), Julius (instagram.com/duck_soup_pastry), Fiore (@fiomeras), G004 (@g004), Jade (instagram.com/gimme.oof), Glasseatingdragon (@glasseatingdragon), Gramps (@grapeless-seeds), Grey (twitter.com/grey_owl22), Starletheaven (twitter.com/iStarletHeaven), Jaqratte (@jaqratte), Jester (Discord: @jesterthetransking), Ash (sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/User:JustAMoff), Juvellian The Bee (@juvellianthebee), Kinda (@kindatiredtho), Lechien (twitter.com/lechiien_), Lemon (@lelemoncat), Lilow (instagram.com/lilowleelani), Lynn (Discord: @lynn9519), Manh (twitter.com/Manh22245565), Mellow (Discord: @mellowyyy), MG (instagram.com/mirrorglass_), みそ煮。(twitter.com/miso_misoni), Mistyplace (@mistyplace-ghost), Modii (Discord: @paranoidandroid008), Wafle / Ri (Discord: @rikiokki), Aizawa Sachi (twitter.com/sachichy), Acrylic (@skycrylic), Cheryl (twitter.com/sliceofcy), Slink (@slink-a-dink), Starlightlamplighter (@starlightlamplighter), Sykloni (@sykloni), Tac (@tac-bat), Moz (@thatskymoz), Dusty (@the-sploot), トリ缶 (twitter.com/to_rikan), ときかず (twitter.com/tosnjy), Sol (@twinsoftriumph), Crimson / Alwx (@valleyofgays), Swissy (@xeikthyrkinnie), and Yary (pinterest.com/yulibenko2011) as creators whose beautifully illustrated comics, paintings, graphics, and other masterful works of art captured the hearts and minds of the community.
But that’s not all! The community also submitted Haana Prinn (Youtube: HaanaPrinn), Mono Yagi (Youtube: Monoyagi), SAD-ist (Youtube: SAD_istfied), Smolleff (Youtube: Smolleff), and StarmyBunny (Youtube: StarmyBunny) as creators with stunning animatics; as well as CecieArt (Youtube: CecieArt), Cocowoll (Youtube: Cocowoll), InSparken (Youtube: InSparken), Daikon (Youtube: LocallyGrownDaikon), R3iyathekitsune (Youtube: thatgurlrei), and Voidtravix (Youtube: Theskytravis) for their talents in animation! And I’m still not done! This section also includes Chien (@pain-del-doge)(https://archiveofourown.org/users/Chien_de_Pain), and Lis (@whitebookposts)(archiveofourown.org/users/Lis0wl), who were both submitted for combined talents in art and writing. Just as there are so many unique creators listed here, there were so many unique reasons for why each one should be here. To give just a few examples: StarmyBunny, Kinda, Amity, Chien, and Lis were overwhelmingly praised for their original characters as well as fantastically detailed world and lore building. One of Kinda and Amity’s fans even said the lore was so good it made them want to tear apart the walls with their TEETH, and another of Chien and Lis’s fans left a warning for them to watch their back entrances at night lest their writing skills get stolen (thanks guys for writing super normal responses in the form, I really appreciate it). Daikon, Cocowoll, Insparken, and CecieArt were celebrated by those who fell in love with their fun and often relatable animations about seasons, spirits, and hilarious skykid shenanigans. So many more submissions applauded Sykloni for a fantastic ongoing comic, as well as creating one of the most extensive and up-to-date Sky picrews, allowing them to create adorable images of their skykids and original characters in Sykloni’s style. But most of all, I was told that everyone on this list had made someone’s day with their creations. All of them spent time imagining, drawing, painting, animating, undertaking every step of the process to create and post their art for all of us to enjoy. There is such an insane variety of styles, skill levels, strengths, and experiences in this group, but they all touched someone deeply enough with their art to be submitted to this list. For these creators who engage our hearts and minds with their artistic gifts, thank you for making 2023 better! And to every other artist giving it their all, thank you as well! For each and every one of you there is someone out there so emotionally invested in your work they could tear apart walls, so please never stop making them insane 💙
Editors
Now that we've gotten through that enormous paragraph, it’s time for our editors! These creators were submitted for their talents in visual effects and video editing, going above and beyond with cutting up, mixing, superimposing, and manipulating video clips to create something equally jaw-droppingly beautiful and technically impressive. I’m so jealous of the skills in this section if you can’t tell, but I’m also so happy to present Cro (tiktok.com/@cro.sky), Ipsen (tiktok.com/@ipsenwits), Sollunie (tiktok.com/@sollunie), Sor'ha (Youtube: SorhaOfficial), and Ren (Youtube: YoursonlyRen) as creators applauded by the community for their gorgeous visual feasts for the eyes. Cro, Ipsen, and Ren have such a wide variety of content, from memes to ikemen edits (there was no way I was going to be able to get through this project without watching ikemen edits), and their fans were absolutely right to call them insanely cool! This was probably the one section of this project where I ended up scrolling through everyone’s whole page just watching all those clean transitions and dramatic lighting on cosmetics I could only dream of owning. You know, necessary research. Sollunie received the highest praises for their absolutely mind-numbingly gorgeous edits of Sky scenery, seasons, and events. Some are fun, some are dark and haunting, and one responder said these edits warmed their heart especially. Sor'ha was submitted for blending Sky with the real world, placing skykids into beautiful landscapes and scenery as well as some fun environments like a real life office. They were praised for their technical skill on these seamless edits, adding a little bit of Sky magic to both the magnificent and mundane. For these creators who make videos a stunning art form, thank you for making 2023 better! And to every editor, on every level, thank you as well! From basic clipping to full blown VFX work, you add such a special touch to videos that make them so much more fun and satisfying to watch for us all💙
More People!
We’ve now reached the super duper special final section, where I tell you all about people all in a league of their own. These creators either didn’t fit into a neat content style in my opinion or were some of the only ones submitted for a particular content style, but nonetheless they are talented all the same. I’m happy to present musicians Emman (Youtube: EmmanSkyCotl) and Fox Band (Youtube: thatskyfox), photographer Coco (instagram.com/skykid.coco), playlist maker ThatSkyPlaylistGuy (Youtube: sky_playl1sts_of_the_l1ght), blogger Anxy (@always-anxious-skychild), Sky Wiki’s Morybel (sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/User:Morybel) and Ray (sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/User:Ray808080), video essayist Boss Door (Youtube: Bossdoor), writer and lore theorist Baudshaw (archiveofourown.org/users/Baudshaw), content creator Kev (thatsocialkev.carrd.co), tiktoker The Moth King (tiktok.com/@mothkingfi), and last but not least, youtubers Bluskycotl (Youtube: bluskycotl), That Sky Adventurer (Youtube: ThatSkyAdventurer), and XK Generations (Youtube: XKGenerations) as our final creators in this list, who wowed the community with their talents, personalities, and all around amazing work! From Emman and Fox Band’s wonderful performances of music sheets and song covers, to Coco’s beautiful portraits, ThatSkyPlaylistGuy’s immersive spirit and season-themed playlists, Anxy’s blogging and fun commentary on screenshots, Morybel and Ray’s incredible work on the Sky Wiki, Boss Door’s poetic and captivating analysis on the impact of connectivity, Baudshaw’s headcanons and storytelling, Bluskycotl’s imaginative short film, That Sky Adventurer and XK Generations’ equally fun and informative videos, Kev’s lively tiktoks and tweets, and The Moth King’s wonderfully lovely personality and videos that give you a warm cozy feeling, there was so much to love in this section of creators. I adore that you all went wild and gave me such a variety of creators. Art has so many mediums and so many ways to express yourself and I was so happy to see that represented here. The quality all of these creators share is that their work spoke to you in some way. Whether they made you laugh, helped you out, gave you comfort, or mixed up the perfect ambiance for your own creative endeavors, these creators were so unimaginably special to you last year. For these creators like no other, who captivated us with their distinct styles and personalities in all areas of creation, thank you for making 2023 better! 💙
Final Notes
To the 100+ creators submitted for appreciation, hold your heads up high! Though notes and reasoning weren’t a requirement to submit names, so many people took the initiative to tell me why they love you all. Reading the responses was such an insane amount of fun, and so many of them put a smile on my face at how adorable and heartwarming their love is for the creators they enjoy. And to everyone: guides, streamers, let’s players, memers, artists, animators, writers, editors, musicians, photographers, playlist makers, bloggers, wiki editors, graphic designers, video essayists, anything else or all of the above…thank you! You are the backbone of this community, and I’m very proud to say I appreciate each and every one of you.
Thank you again to everyone who submitted to the form! This was such a long post to write but I was happy to do it 🫡You entrusted me with over 100 of your favorite creators and I hope I did them all justice.
AND thank you to everyone who submitted me to the form! It would be a bit silly to thank myself but I’m so touched you all thought of me! (Seeing my Tumblr account on there too was a crazy surprise, I had no idea a really long picture of prophecy guide had so much impact)
