"Edric?" Alador approached his son in concern before the crunch of something under foot caught his attention. Looking down he found the boy's amulet shattered to pieces. His expression only turned more worried as he looked back to his son. "Come on, let's get you back to the manor where it's quiet," he suggested, his voice low and soft as to try not to further hurt his son.

The sound of his dad's voice cuts through everything else, suddenly looking up to see Alador near him. "D-Dad?"

His eyes closed again as he winced in pain, his own voice startlingly loud in his head. He moves in the vague direction of his dad, bumping lightly into him. Every little light and sound and motion just made it worse. It made Edric feel sick, his face starting to pale from the pain.

"I-I wanna go h-home-" he whispered meekly to Alador.

This was bad, really bad. His amulet had broken, it's dampening effect gone. Edric's head was suddenly filled with everyone's voices and thoughts. He winced, clapping his hands over his ears as if it would do anything to help.

The noise kept getting louder and more cacophonous until it was just a loud painful rumbling in his head.
