These two vintage prints were designed by the famous fashion illustrator, René Gruau for the cabaret Le Lido in Paris: Bonjour la nuit (Hello The Night) in 1971 and Cocorico (Cock-a-doodle-doo) in 1981. We chose the same frame for both since they were going to be hung together and worked great as a pair. The inside of the frame is a 6K White Gold Leaf which enhances the brightness of the scenes. The sides of the frame have a black rub that adds structure to the pieces without being too stark- how a black paint would look. Together these elements support the pieces without being a distraction.
