Hey can we all just appreciate Tony Stark, as portrayed within the mcu, for a moment?
Like sure, he's a good person, we see him grow so much, he's a great father to both Peter and Morgan, and he's a hero willing to sacrifice himself. That's all a given, but like, a thing I don't see a lot of people talking about is how good of a husband he is???
Like don't get me wrong, he puts pepper through a lot of shit but when you get down to it he really loved her (ex. When he sent the mk.42 armor to her instead of himself in Iron Man 3) and just tried to show it however he could (ex. The giant bunny in Iron Man 3).
A small detail I haven't seen talked about once is the fact that the "Rescue" armor (the suit she wear in Endgame) is mk.49, and the suit Tony wears in Infinity war is mk.50. On its own this would just imply that he made her a suit before he started working on nano tech, but in Endgame he tells morgan that the suit is an anaversary gift. Their FIVE YEAR annaversary gift. And he was wearing the mk.50 BEFORE they actually got married. That would imply that tony not only planned five years ahead, but that he had been working on that suit maticulusly while making mk.50 - mk.85.
Tony loved pepper, and despite thinking she wouldn't even wear the suit, spent five years making the perfect armor for her because he wanted her to be absolutly safe. He made her suit before he started on nano tech because she was a bigger priority. He thought of her before helping the Avengers with time travel because she meant more to him. He may not have built a suit of armor around the world, but you could be damn sure he was putting armor around his world. Because that's what he knew how to do.
