âNot that bad. Yeah,â the boy nodded at the other. âIâve managed to get used to it a little more. What about you? Parker right? I think we missed a proper introduction last time but I caught you name.â
âGood, Iâm glad,â he responded with a nod and a smile. âYeah...I wanna say youâre Mike, no Matt? Please tell me one of those is right, Iâm usually pretty good with names,â he chuckled.
Nice post @lizaxjosh <3 We agreeâŚNico is a cutie.
@loriâtaylor
The last time heâd spoken to Lori she was beaming with positive energy, but seeing her now something had obviously changed. He didnât want to pry of course, it wasnât his business, but he was certainly curious. Besides he saw no harm in saying hello and trying to strike up a conversation. âHey Lori, howâs it going?â He asked with a big smile hoping to brighten her mood.
There were only a handful of people in Fall City that Lori considered unlike the majority. Ones that still carried some spark of humanity, of brightness, deep within their souls. Smiles that lit up the world around them. Parker Kennedy was one of these people. Theyâd only encountered each other once or twice before â and every time Lori found herself grinning with ease when in his presence. But⌠But that was before sheâd left. That was before she didnât have blood to scrub from her hands. That was before sheâd been bitten. That was before Gwen had pummelled her, leaving her face bruised and battered. Swollen.
It was hard not to at least attempt a smile when he approached her. He smiled with his top set of teeth exposed, she noticed. Her cheeks ached when she grinned, bottom lip still split, nose still slightly askew. âParker,â she greeted him, patting the empty space on the park bench beside her for him to sit. âIâve been⌠better. How are you? How⌠How did you fair after Maverickâs attack on the city? I havenât seen you since then. Are you alright?â
He hadnât noticed her lip at first or the bruises and he had to hold back a gasp when he took the offered seat. âLori, what the hell happened? Did this happen in the attack?â He couldnât imagine what could have possibly happened that would have warranted her to have been beaten like that. She hadnât been captured as far as he knew and it wasnât as if there were a bunch of people there to fight.
âAre you all right?â He asked reaching out a hesitant hand towards her face to get a better look. âWho did this?â He was worried and angry. Surely nothing she could have done would have made such treatment acceptable. If it was someone in the city something needed to be done about it, even if he had to do it himself. Her questions about him simply slipped away. They werenât important. He was fine. He wasnât even in the city when the attack happened, all that mattered now was ensuring Loriâs well-being.

When heâd casually asked if there was someone who could do a better job of repairing his shirt than he could he didnât expect someone to take him up on the offer. Watching her work he was glad heâd thrown it out there. There was no way he could have done half as good as she had done. His shirt really did look like new. âShit thanks,â he said taking the item and shaking his head in disbelief. âThis is incredible,â he turned the cloth over in his hand examining the stitches.
Lana smiled a bit, glad that she could be of some help to him. A shrug and she shook her head,
âItâs just practice. And itâs also something Iâm quite happy about, you know, since I can barely handle a knife,â she held her palm with the scar on it up, âAt least I can do something useful.â She giggled, trying to make it seem like a joke although, clearly, she really believed what sheâd just said.Â
"Well you really should learn to use a knife and a gun even if you do have other talents," he said with a smile. "I can sew a little, but not like this man. It's good you're using what you know. I'm sure that are lots of people who could use your help. I could show you ya know, if you wanted to," he offered hoping she'd take him up on it. He didn't like the idea of people in the city not knowing how to defend themselves if necessary.

Spooning? More like letâs see how much âaccidentalâ booty wiggling it takes to get him hard.
âOh come on.... I dare you,â Parker teased flashing a playful smile. Â

The needle was pushed through the collar of the shirt one last time before Lanaâs hands took the thread and expertly looped it on itself to tie a small, indistinguishable knot.
âThere, your shirtâs just like new again. Â Be careful next time, there are only so many holes it can take and I canât repair everything,â

adaliafox:
She looked like a ghost.
Her skin hadnât seen the sun in months, shades paler than the pale she already was. Her paper white complexion only further emphasized the black moons that hung beneath her eyes and the sunken in hollows of her cheeks. Even her bright eyes looked dimmer, as if the ice had melted away, leaving a wet and watered down version of Fox behind.
But none of that mattered right now.
After all, she was wrapped in so many blankets that it was difficult to recognize her as human as opposed to a pile of dirty laundry. Inside the clinic, Fox lounged on a couch beneath piles of fabric. Only her right hand was visible from the neck down, clutching a mug of hot chocolate and struggling against the restrictive blankets to maneuver the cup to her mouth. She groaned, calling out to no one in particular.
âWill someone be my best friend and pour this in my mouth?â
His knuckles had broken open again. If he wasnât careful they were going to get infected, but without gloves the cold air made his skin dry and brittle. Asking for lotion was out of the question and while he didnât want to seem like some kind of needy bitch because his hands were dry, having cracked, sore skin was painful and it made for slow work. How was he supposed to keep the fences mended or move supplies when his hands ached?
He went to the clinic to find some fresh bandages and materials to clean the wounds but found the place empty, or so he thought. The words made him laugh even if hearing the strange voice startled him a bit. He walked over to the woman and clearly saw her dilemma. âYeah, here let me help you,â he offered with a slight chuckle. Parker gently took the mug from her and knelt down to get a better angle to reach her so he didnât spill. Carefully he raised it to her lips and tilted her head up letting the liquid trickle into her mouth. âThere we go,â he smiled down at her.

ââThatâs the rule, indeed.ââ He hesitated before turning off the light as Parker came near. ââBut I could always have you up against the wall and watch it at the same time. Multi-tasking, you know.ââÂ
âI donât know what makes me more crazy, turning you down or actually letting you do it,â he chuckled. âI mean on the one hand we have sex and then on the other we have a possible infected invasion, or better yet another breech.â Parker held out each hand in turn briefly to emphasize his point before lightly throwing them up. âHmmm decisions, decisions...â Heâd previously stopped a good foot or so before the other male but now took another step towards him with a large smile.Â
elliottxdavies:
ââYeah - not just survive. Thatâs a good way of putting it. Bacteria can survive in hostile places.ââ Sometimes he surprised himself with the things he said, revealing he did in fact want more than what he had currently. And then he responded a bit more seriously. ââIâm worried about them coming back myself. Hopefully someone will light a fire under everyoneâs ass. Paranoia is only useful in action.ââÂ
Elliott couldnât really keep the grin off his face. Feeling each other up out in the open felt pretty fucking good and he didnât mind in the least. There wasnât a better distraction he could think of than losing yourself in another for an hour or two. Parker was more than a pretty face as well, more than rock hard abs (which his hand can feel, adjusting to glide over the manâs side and then down again to hang on a hip). He seems nice and really normal and the sense that Elliottâs not completely fucked in the head, to think that his thoughts are shared by someone else.. it eases some of the anxiety bottled up inside.Â
His eyes had lowered to catch sight of the hand moving up his thigh, large and strong matching his own. ââMm, I think itâs higher than that?ââ His fingers grazed over a button and zipper to tempt in their track across to the other side, now crossing the border between harmless and purposeful. ââYeah Iâm thinking.. we definitely need to do this.ââ Locking his gaze with the other man, Elliott tilted his head a little and smiled.Â
âTrue,â he chuckled. âI mean I donât think anyone wants to just survive, what kind of life is that ya know? Just waiting to be taken out?â He nodded glad that he wasnât the only one who shared that point of view. âSo would you be willing to do something about it? I mean take action first kinda deal?â Talking about it doing something was one thing; they needed people who were willing to actually go and attack. Â
Elliottâs hand mapping his body was more than pleasing, but it also made him hungry for more and any sense of restraint was quickly slipping away. He could care less who saw them; in fact he hoped they all got an eyeful. Parker hadnât really had all that many problems accepting his sexuality and as for the very public display, heâd never been a modest individual where sex was concerned. He felt it was normal and natural and with the end of the world he wasnât going to turn down a perfectly good opportunity to find pleasure and an escape.
âOh yeahâŚlike right here maybe?â He asked cupping Elliott gently and grinning like a fool. He bit his bottom lip and rocked his hips ever so slightly into the other maleâs touch hoping to encourage his fingers to finally find their true target; at least what he hoped was their destination. âAnd by doing this are we still talking about tattoos or fucking because Iâm down with either.â Just to emphasize his point he pressed his palm into Elliott and let his other hand migrate to his hip.

âThe Past Should Stay Dead. Emarosa. Went through a punk rock part a few years back,â Aiden said and winked before looping her arm within his and forcing him to walk with her. If you were in this city, then you would be her friend, she decided. Her choice in this mess was to be friendly, to take comfort in the small things. It was all they seemed to have left these days. Losing one hand, she adjusted her beanie and then looked up at him.
âSo, I havenât met you before, ny fenn. Iâm Aiden Holmvik. Commonly know as the Viking, or just Aiden, whatever pleases you.â She waved a hand. âAre you new here? When did you arrive?â Her questions were rapid fire, blue eyes taking in the new friend with trusting and kind eyes.Â
âNever heard of âem, no wonder I didnât recognize them,â he said with a smile only to freeze when she took his arm and guided him along. He wasnât opposed exactly, just taken aback. He didnât necessarily want to refuse either, but it felt strange. He decided to just go with it in the end, not wanting to cause problems and really who was he to complain with a cute blonde on his arm?
âUmâŚIâm Parker Kennedy,â he cocked his head to the side to get a better look at her. âYeah, I mean Iâve been here for like a month?â His sense of time was still shot and it wasnât as if everyone was keeping track. âI havenât seen you though, did you just get in or what?â She was talking like sheâd been a part of the city for a while, but he was next to positive they hadnât met yet which made him wonder where sheâd been.
