I just wanted to let you know you are awesome and I love your art. Have you ever thought of uploading to zazzle or redbubble? I would buy stuff from you of the piece of my two birds you did. I dont know what kind of kickbacks they give you though.

I dont know how much would be fair to get from each sold item, so it’s hard for me to tell if it’s a nice deal. I guess I’ll check on that again, thanks for the interest anyway!

I use Redbubble and one of the best things about it is that it can break down your cut into %. Basically, RB gives you the base price and you get to figure the % mark-up you want from each item type. I think I’ve got mine set to 20% mark-up for most things and 10% on a couple of products.

So in the end I’m getting a couple of bucks for a shirt, a couple dozen cents for stickers… that sort of thing.

It’s a nice way just to put stuff out there and if people like it, they like it!

I was surprised when one of my designs sold on T-shirts *twice* especially when they are my older designs…. It’s kind of few and far between as far as sales go for me, but it’s a nice trickle of money every once in awhile.

I’ll definitely give you signal boosts if you set one up so just let me know if you do lovely!!

My name is Jaclyn Moase and I am an artist and bird enthusiast from Ontario, Canada. I maintain a gallery of work over on Pomsdoodlefort.tumblr.com, I run WordsonBirds.tumblr.com and I am a primary contributor to AskBirdBloggers.tumblr.com. I am disabled and have not been able to find employment that can accommodate my health concerns but I also do not have any other form of assistance nor familial support. Currently I rely on my spouse for everything from toiletries to transportation to medical bills. What we currently do and have is not enough and that is being made very clear to us over time. Without another source of income I decided to try to set up a Patreon. The rewards were designed from the artistic side of things, however education and avian advice are what you are also helping support. I spend a considerable amount of time and effort towards helping people and their animals live better lives. Providing entertainment, cute bird pictures and sharing the knowledge I’ve picked up from my studies and direct experience with birds is something that really has lit up my life. I adore helping people, I adore helping animals and I adore birds so running WoB and modding ABB has been some of the most fulfilling things I have been able to do with my life and I really wish to continue to do these things. While I have only been serious about my art for about a year now, I have made leaps and bounds in my abilities and I plan to make many more as I continue into the future. I would like to be able to make helping others and making art my focus in life and this page was built to help facilitate that. I would like to expand my artistic abilities in the future, however at present I will not be able to expand beyond my current tools. As such, all support received from you wonderful Patrons will be going primarily towards towards things: 1. Medical bills and animal expenses and 2. New art supplies (programs, a better tablet, better camera for the birds, more bird educational material etc) so that I can continue to give you ever more quality work. Having financial support will free up a lot more time and energy to help run the blogs and help everyone with their birds.
