POKÉMON FACT
Parents who try to force their hobbies on their kids are really fucking embarrassing. Get a life.
Imagine thinking this was comedy.
Dedicating a book…

Turn on the sound and watch this raven mimic a human voice. This is Mischief the white-necked raven. These ravens are found throughout eastern and southern Africa, and are common near human habitation. Like all members of the Corvidae family, ravens are extremely intelligent. They use tools to get food if necessary, and can even mimic human speech! (Source)
Okay but that’s not some Gilbert Gottfried ‘RAAAK POLLY WANNA CRACKER’ this raven actually sounds like a person what the fuck

The sicker you think you are, the sicker you will be.
The brain has a profound impact on the body and vice versa. Lots of research has proven that mindset and the language that a doctor uses with their patients can dramatically impact their longevity and their symptoms. If you keep convincing yourself you’re beyond repair or too sick/hurt to get better, then your symptoms will only get worse.
On the other hand: ignoring a (chronic) illness will only make it worse. I’ve tried it. I have some permanent joint damage to show for it.
My current method seems to work: I work together with my body, I do everything I want to do (work, excercise, etc), but also listen to what my body needs: I feel achey, so let’s do an easier workout? (instead of no workout!) A nap, or some downtime? More or less or better food?
Your body and mind are not just vehicles to use, they need to work together for your best health. Also: stay positive! (”but you don’t look sick!” Yes, I am now stronger and fitter than most healthy people my age… and also chronically ill.)
Thank you for sharing your experience!
Yes, exactly. Ignoring a problem is never a good idea, but if you are convinced you’re a lost cause, then you will only exacerbate your symptoms.
Keep kicking ass in spite of your illness ❤️ If a doctor tells you that there is no solution or cure, find one that’s not willing to settle for that answer. Find one that WILL help, because there are always people out there who have different approaches and methods.
OH my GOD my whole LIFE is a LIE and I’M DRUNK
WOOO catch me on tumblr drinking wine and listening to Sarah Joarosz instead of doing the hundreds of things I actually need to be doing in order to finish this semester without collapsing into a flaming trash heap.
