Excerpts from the 2015 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in San Francisco, March 14, 2015. I didn’t get everything, but I think I got most of it. Most of it was recorded at various locations along Market Street. Towards the end, some of it was recorded at Civic Center.

Excerpts from the 2015 Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco, March 7, 2015. This is the Year of the Ram (or Sheep or Goat), lunar year 4713. The parade lasted for hours, so I didn’t get everything, but here’s quite a bit of it. To see the names of most (but not all) of the participants, turn on Closed Captions. This was recorded near the start of the parade route, on Market Street between Montgomery and Kearny.
新年快樂
I don't know what discipline, if any, this guy is practicing. Maybe he's just enjoying the sun. It was an unusually warm and sunny day for San Francisco.
Nothing exciting or amazing happens — just 9½ minutes of me randomly wandering around the Chinese New Year Flower Market Fair 2015 in San Francisco's Chinatown on Saturday night at fair closing time. You can see that some of the booths have already closed up or are in the process of closing up.I guess you could say this is "throw away" footage, as I was just experimenting with some night walking recording. Decided to upload it, what the heck… maybe you can pretend you were there or something, not every YouTube video needs to be of great import, as we all know. This is the Year of the Ram (or sheep or goat), lunar year 4713.
Three Lion Dancing performances at the opening of the Chinese New Year Flower Market Fair 2015 in San Francisco's Chinatown, including the popular "Drunken Lion Dance".
The kick off of the Chinese New Year festivities (the big main parade will be on March 7) in San Francisco for 2015. The "Mini-Procession" parade and Ribbon Cutting ceremony at the 2015 Flower Market Fair in San Francisco's Chinatown. This is the Year of the Ram (or Sheep or Goat), lunar year 4713.
I ran into my friend, Frank Chu, at the MLK 2015 march in San Francisco, and we had a very short conversation.
MLK Day 2015 March/Parade San Francisco. Following the arrival of the Freedom Train at the Caltrain 4th & King station, there was a march/parade from there to Yerba Buena Gardens, where there were speeches, etc. I did my best to compress this for time while still trying to convey the overall flavor of the march. I omitted most, but not entirely all, of the speeches by politicians, etc.
MLK Day 2015 Freedom Train arrival at San Francisco Caltrain station, 4th and King. The Freedom Train is a chartered Caltrain. Freedom Trains were started 30 years ago by Coretta Scott King in honor of her husband. According to news reports, this San Francisco Freedom Train is the last one still running in the U.S. The organizers of this one say that this will be the last year for this one. The train started in San Jose and traveled non-stop to San Francisco. It was sold out. Following the arrival of the train, there was a march/parade over to Yerba Buena gardens, which will be covered in a follow-on video, coming soon.
Golden Gate Bridge moveable median barrier installation: closeup and narrated. Take a stroll across San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge with me as we watch up close the assembly/installation of the new "moveable median barrier" (MMB), including the insertion of the final center segment. I have no association with anyone in this project — I have no inside knowledge — so I apologize in advance if there are any technical errors in my narration! This new Moveable Median Barrier (MMB) system is about 13,340 feet of 12-inch wide and 32-inch high steel clad units filled with high density concrete pinned together to form a semi-rigid median barrier. There are also two barrier transfer machines, aka “zipper” trucks. This replaces, and is a vast improvement over, the old plastic pylon divider system, which we review for a moment at the beginning of the video.
From The Embarcadero, the January 1, 2015 San Francisco fireworks over the bay (full show). Also a few crowd and traffic shots afterwards. There was no fog at all this year, completely clear view. Shot with a hand-held camera, no tripod.
Trains coming and going at the Amtrak Train Station in Santa Barbara, California. Six passenger trains and two freight trains. Both day and night shots, plus shots of the train station itself. The passenger trains are the Pacific Surfliner and the Coast Starlight.
A holiday special you probably won't see on TV. You may have seen a few specials on TV showcasing amazing over-the-top holiday light displays — computerized, lasers, animated, etc. None of that fancy stuff here, but there are a few unique Tenderloin quirks. This is my second annual compilation of outdoor Christmas light displays from strolling around the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco on December 21, 2014. Happy holidays!
San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge westbound on a bus on a rainy Thursday night: Returning into town on a bus at 10 pm on a rainy Thursday night, westbound on the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge. A straight-up drive, no narration, no gimmicks, normal speed (not a drive-lapse). It'll be interesting to see the reactions to this one, probably not everyone's 'cup of tea'. Starts out a little rough, but with the rain, the wipers, the hand-held camera, at night, on a bus, I like the mood and feeling and rhythm that it eventually falls into.
San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge eastbound on a bus early on a Sunday morning: Getting out of town on a bus at 7.30 am on a quiet, overcast Sunday morning, eastbound on the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge. A straight-up drive, no narration, no gimmicks, normal speed (not a drive-lapse). Does have some informational captions, though.
The Polk Street portion of the annual San Francisco SantaCon, December 13, 2014, day and night, set to music.
