Like Hawkins went from having no idea about the Upside Down or that anything was wrong (aside from Will going missing and coming back) to now suddenly a lot of their friends and family are mysteriously dead after the fair and the next day they find out that their new mall is destroyed and the mayor has been arrested and Chief Jim Hopper is dead
