Princess Rosalina x TF!Reader
*SFW*
It was quiet in the mansion. Usually, it would be filled with laughter and giggles of the Luma's playing. But for some hours it's been quiet due to the Luma's growing bored of playing, now each one waits on top of pillows or in their mother's chairs.
Piling on top of one another as they stared at their mother's story book, wishing she was there to tell a story. Each little defeated breath, they let out, deflated the pile, only to be reenflated when they all took a breath.
Waiting for their mothers return from an ice planet. Each hour they spent waiting, the more they'd wish they had come along for the adventure. But, their mothers did say it was a special outing.
One they couldn't attend. Something to do with magic or "grown-up stuff" as their other mother called it.
Either way. The wait was getting to them all.
*door rattle*
Each little Luma suddenly shot up from their spot on the floor or their spot on the furniture. Their little eyes glowed brightly as they waited for another rattle on the door... then it happened again. All their little bodies glowed brightly when they saw the doors open, revealing their mothers.
Covered in snow and wearing big jackets as they entered the room.
"I said it was cold." Rosalina said with a smile, walking inside the room as you stumbled in. Shivering from the snow you were in not too long ago.
"And I said I could handle it, a little snow never hurts me -" you said, unzipping your coat as you shook off most snow from your body, not paying attention until-
"MAMA'S," all the Luma's said in unison, charging into theirs mothers arms as they all crowded around you and Rosalina like a lifeline. Which was warranted considering you were shivering like a leaf.
"Hey, little guys!" You said, your arms coming up and scooping up as many Luma's as you could before you couldn't hold anymore. Then, falling to the ground, allowing the rest of them to crowd around you.
Rosalina let out a soft chuckle at you, seeing you take a more rough yet loving approach to the Luma's. It always put a fuzzy feeling in her heart, watching you treat them like your own.
But, she always took more of a gentle approach as she gently took a few into her arms, rubbing their heads as she made sure each one was okay.
She noticed the outing you two hadde affected them deeply, feeling the way they cuddled into her dress and arms. It made her want to cherish each one under you and hers care.
"Did you all behave yourselves?" Rosalina asked, flicking her hand in a motion so that the coats you two were wearing fadded away, making all the snow on your coats fall to the ground and onto the Luma's you were hugging.
It also made you let out a relaxed groan since all the cold left your body in an instant. But, the sense of euphoria would soon fade once the Luma's realized there was still snow left.
"Snowball fight!" One Luma said as they tried to pick up some snow, making all the others dash to the snow.
"No, no, no. No snowball fights. It's almost time for bed," Rosalina said, flicking her wand so that all the snow disappeared. After the adventure you two had, you were pretty much done with the cold.
All the Luma's let out a small sigh of defeat. Knowing they couldn't have a snowball fight. You sat up from the floor, chuckling as you let go of the pillow you were gonna use to protect yourself, but thankfully, Rosalina saved you.
"Heh, as much as I would love to play..." you said, lying. "You all should get ready for bed." You added, which made all the Luma's look up at you specifically with big pleading eyes. They all knew you would crack much more easily by their little faces.
Because you haven't been around for them as long as Rosalina so, it was much easier from them to get their way bribing you.
"Alright, no. Not gonna..." you were saying, trying to divert your attention from them but, the newest Luma. A small white baby you and Rosalina recently started care of, floated down to your foot, it's little numbs grabbing at your laces with... those... big....
"Okay! Fine! Rose, let's stay with them for a bit longer." You groaned, defeated as you bent down to take the baby in your hands. Cradling it gently as you turned around to Rosalina, who still wore a smile but shook her head.
"Alright, one story." Rosalina sighed.
"And a sleepover?" You suggested raising an eyebrow at her. Knowing later, the Luma's were going to beg for one.
"And a sleepover." Rosalina agreed.
Which was enough for all the Luma's to scatter off to retrieve everything for it. You chuckled, watching half fly out the room and the other half push pillows and blankets in place for everyone.
"You need to learn a backbone, dear." Rosalina said, walking up to you with her hand gently coming up to cup your chin.
"Sorry, it's hard saying no to these little guys. I mean, look," you tried to defend yourself, lifting up the small baby in your hands to Rosalina to show the cuteness sitting in your hands.
Rosalina smiled down at you, then turned her attention to the bookshelf. Walking over to find her storybook as you went to go help Luma's setup for the sleepover.
Kneeling down to lay blankets and pillows out for everyone while making sure you stacked enough blankets so the hard wood wasn't beating into you and Rosalina's back.
Soon, little chattering was heard from the entrance. Looking up, you saw the other half of Luma's enter holding mugs and a pot of hot chocolate, with another holding a pack of marshmallows.
"Oh, let me help!" You said, getting up quickly in case the Luma's accidentally dropped the pot of hot chocolate.
Soon, Rosalina found her storybook, smiling. She formed her wand once more and lit the fireplace a bit hotter. Then, she flicked her wand again so that you and her were in pajamas now, with every little Luma now striking a little night cap to go along with you two.
You let out a small "aw" seeing how cute they looked, then sat down on the blankets, placing the hot chocolate on a nearby table before relaxing into the blankets and pillows, with all the Luma's crowding beside you, watching Rosalina sit down at the front.
She wore a simple pair of pajamas and blue pants with a long sleeve shirt of one of those power stars you've seen before. But, anything she wore made you fall head over heels every time.
"What story would you like to hear?" Rosalina asked the group of Luma's, each one rose their hand while others shouted out suggestions
"The one about the plumbers!" One said.
"A princess one!" Another said.
"How about bowser!" Another said with a big smile.
"Can we hear the story of how you and Mama met again?" One asked, specifically the one sitting just above your head. You smiled, looking back at Rosalina with a smile and raised eyebrow.
"Oh yes! We haven't heard that one in a while!" Another said until each one was asking for the story.
You and Rosalina laughed, watching them beg. Then you cupped a few in your arms as you stared at Rosalina.
"Well, you heard the house of Luma's. They voted for a romance story." You joked, smiling at Rosalina. Brining up a small hint of your past world to them.
"Okay, the story of the lost star it is." Rosalina smiled, joking about it to you. Which got a small chuckle out of you. Curling inside her blanket, Rosalina opened the book and began her story.

Idk, maybe I'll do a story about that! If people want that, then give suggestions. If I do, ever get around to it. It might be my first story on ao3 because god be dammed if any of those damn controls make sense to me.
