Quickly stopping in her tracks, the woman hesitated for a moment. It was fairly unlikely for someone to be down here at this time—so deep in the corridors, such a specific location. But then again, the voice rang with familiarity. That wasn’t necessarily a positive thing. If it was a cruel labcoat worker, she might have to ditch those heels and folder and go for a run. But, she was feeling sort of stupid instead, so she replied.
"…Yes..?"
He was still trembling, not sure of what to do. Reveal himself and then what? How would she react? With anger, fear, or sadness, and what if his eyes were just playing tricks. What if this isn't actually her, he'll get himself caught again for sure. Another quick glance, and he was 80% sure that was her. Taking the chance, Pastel slowly got up, and suddenly a sharp pain shot through his leg. A grunt escaped him, and he forced himself forward out into the hall. His leg still hurt like hell, but that didn't matter anymore. This was his reward, after so many months of pure agony, a familiar friend with heels that were so sharp they could cut him in two. His eyes were wide and he didn't know what to say. His heart was still beating fast, but from something else. Maybe something good?...Yeah, maybe.
