Let them reveal how they value people and relationships
And respond accordingly.
Taking people and relationships for granted is a sin never given the weight it deserves.
It does not mean forfeit self-respect for others. I mean: be true to who you are, and let yourself see others for who they are.
When you feel valued? Keep 'em.
When you feel disrespected? Let it go. Walk away.
It's their loss. Why they value obedience, complacency, and control over connection isn't your business.
How Narcissism Works
A narcissist says, "Cold Fusion energy is now available for all of humanity to access and utilize."
The leading expert in Cold Fusion Energy Research says, "No, it isn't. We're still not ready to provide cold fusion as an energy resource."
The narcissist doubles down on his own stupidity.

People with no social awareness...
They always remind you that, YES, people are that unaware, thoughtless, and stupid.
Old townie approached me from behind at a fast food place today and struck a conversation by saying, "What did you do?"
I had absolutely no idea what she was referring to specifically, or how to answer this, so I asked back, "What did I do?"
Crazy People Really Get it in Their Heads...
They completely overvalue what they have to offer.
They really believe that if weren't for them, you would be sitting at home alone, miserable and unable to move on with your life.
And when anything bursts that bubble, they are so determined to keep their delusion going that they start ignoring reality all together.
They didn't see you make plans with others. They don't hear you're moving on. They don't acknowledge you've cut them off.
Because it was never really about you. You were not the person stuck in a misery pit they created themselves.
They were.

Insecurity is killing society...
It is absolutely incredible to me that there are people out there who are so crippled with insecurity that a simple invite to hang out gets turned into a power play.
Like, "Hey, are you free this weekend? Would you like to do something?"
And their brain goes, "OH MY GOD! I HAVE BEEN GIVEN ALL THE POWER NOW BECAUSE SOME HAS ASKED ME TO HANG OUT." Which, then, immediately turns into self-sabotage because they end up waiting like fifteen days to finally reply to your text in an attempt to breadcrumb affection. "... ... ...Maybe...I don't know yet! My schedule's SO busy..."
Me: "Uh, ok. Just let me know when you're free."
Them: "Ok, let's hangout this weekend. Book your ticket by tonight."
Me: "OK."
[6 hours pass]
Them: "Never mind - I might have to work. I'll let you know... ... ..."
Me: "You didn't finish your t--"
Them: "Let's push to the last minute (for literally no fucking reason)."
Me: "You know what, never mind."
Them: "WAIT! I can free up Thursday."
Me: "I'm already out the d--"
Them: "Wait! Never mind. Friday. Definitely Friday. Yes."
Me: [Blocked].
