I super hate to do this because I know times are tough for all, but I’ve been losing hours at work and having shitty luck with job apps.

My dog baby got diagnosed with a grade 3 heart murmur, and he needs X-rays, an echocardiogram and possibly meds down the line. Bills are piling up and I’m starting to panic a bit.

Honey Gilmore, the photographer, has shared a quote from Lucia:

"I was very apprehensive about asking for help because I'm aware how this economy has impacted everybody and I am very concerned about exposing my family in this political climate but it has reached a point that we cannot turn this around alone. We set a goal of $10,000 based on the calculations made on what will be needed for us to get back to square 1. I don't expect to reach the designated goal but any help right now is greatly appreciated!

• Transportation (car repairs and ride shares to continue getting to and from work)

Came across this art installation, Liza Lou's Kitchen, at the Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC. It's a kitchen made of tiny glass beads, that artist Liza Lou did, taking 5 yrs. to complete, from 1991 - 1996.

My favorite part is the sink.

Hey hey, as a librarian, can I just say don’t pace yourself at the library. I get a lot of customers saying “oh I shouldn’t get too many books out at once” but like you should!!!! Max out your card, take everything we have on a subject you’re interested in, make a book fort in your home. We love that shit! It doesn’t matter if you read them or not; just take them for an adventure and bring them back whenever they’re due!

For public libraries, one of the ways we secure funding year to year is lending. Governments don’t want to fund more books if they’re not being used and the way we measure use is by issues. Regardless of whether you read it or not, whether you have it for a day or a month, if you issue it to your library card, we get the stats! It makes the library look good!

Help your local library; get books out even if you know you can’t read them all!
