You know what? That’s actually brilliant, but how exactly will we create this alien baby chemical?
I really thought you were the brains in this operation, I'm more of the.. wear goggles and nothing under my lab coat, guy.
Obviously not, but all supernatural births seem to be worse than my vagina splitting in half. They seem to involve that plus way more pain. Like Bella’s bones breaking in Twilight. What was even up with that? That was disgusting.
I have no idea, I didn't watch those films so I had no idea about that happening, but still sounds way cooler than the whole.. push, push, oh you're crowning business. Also, you seem very traumatised over this bone breaking birth, I think you need something to clear your head. Ever heard of two girls one cup?
No I don’t think it would….
The “miracle of birth” is icky enough as it is anyway
Are you saying that having the baby burst out from someone's stomach wouldn't be amazing?
And how exactly would you know if I’ve given birth? I could have a secret family or something, a husband and kids waiting for me to come home that I never talk about. But even if I didend up with an alien baby - very unlikely, but still - then it would be the fault of the baby daddy, not me. I’m 100% human.
I don't think any man would be mad enough to marry you.. you're kind of a hand full. Are you sure about that? I get a weird vibe from you, maybe not alien but definitely in the demonic region.
That could happen if you found some type of chemical to allow that to happen, but I don’t think there’s a possible way to find that, so.
If we can't find it, we could always create it. Think about it for a sec', we invent this weird alien baby chemical, sell it on the black market, become billionaires and then escape to the bahamas when the police start to catch up to our plans.
I’m sure that would feel… Pleasant..
Maybe not, but it would be a whole lost faster and a lot cooler. Like.. real birth is so bland.
That is fifty shades of disgusting.
As a woman, I am extremely glad that that is not the case.
You've never given birth Izzy, so you've got no idea if it's the case for you or not. Like, you might end up with an alien baby. Don't count your chickens before they hatch.
I think you think that because you’re a guy. As a girl, I would never want those alien labours to be real, that would hurt like hell.
But having your vagina basically split in half is heaven on earth?
What if all women gave birth like in those alien films? That would probably make the miracle of birth ten times better.
Under the Pale Alien Light || Ethan & Izzy
She wrinkled her nose at his words, not getting a chance to say anything until she was seated in the cab and moving out towards their destination. Izzy cracked the window open and leaned her head against the glass, looking out at the clear sky and the stars overhead. ”I swear to God that if an alien captures me and straps me to any table with any intention of probing me at all, I’l gonna break those bonds, jump to my feet and take the nearest scalpel and stick it into his eyes,” she declared, ignoring the startled look the cab driver shot her way in the rearview mirror. She turned to look at Ethan and raised an eyebrow, almost as if she was daring him to say anything regarding her comment. ”But to answer your question,” she began, turning away once more and peering at the sky again, transfixed by the stars. Sure, her hometown back in England wasn’t all tall buildings and fake lights, but every stop that they’d been on recently had been at the heart of the cities and she had almost forgotten how beautiful the night sky could look. ”I didn’t bring a tent. Do I look like the type of girl who walks around with a tent? I didn’t even bring a blanket, because the thought never even occurred to me. But it should be fairly easy to just lie on the blanket and kind of…roll up in it? And then sleep like that. For me, of course, since I just know that you’re going to do the gentlemanly thing and sleep on the ground and offer me the blanket, right?” Izzy grinned at him in a way to show that although her words were dead serious, she didn’t actually expect him to give up his blanket for her. Gross as it was, she didn’t much mind sleeping on the sand, if it was only for one night. As far as she was concerned, it could only add more authenticity to the alien watching story that she was bound to tell her grandkids one day.
The ride out didn’t take long at all, and the cab stopped before Izzy really realized it. She opened the door and hopped out, taking a quick minute to stretch her arms over her head and arch her back, tilting her head towards the sky and twirling. There was so much space. Of course the houses that they were constantly staying in her huge and she was never in want for more room, but everything out in the desert was huge and freeing. There was only flat land and sand for as far as she could see into the distance and although the thought of staying out there and searching for aliens (the girl had to admit that she was becoming a believer more and more the longer she stayed on this excursion) was a little nerve-wracking, it was also exhilarating. As long as nothing dangerous or poisonous stung her, she was sure that she would be okay. ”There are no scorpions or anything out here, right?” she asked, stopping her twirling and turning to face Ethan, who she had left to deal with the transactions with the cab driver. Now that he had driven away, Ethan was the only other person that Izzy could see, save for the pair of taillights disappearing into the night, and she cocked her head to the side, regarding him curiously. ”Or snakes…are there snakes in Egypt?”
He didn't bother to say anything about the blanket situation, mostly because he didn't want to seem rude in front of the taxi driver, who was probably already desperate to get rid of the two since their alien talk was getting out of hand. The cab stopped, and Ethan paid the fee, making sure to get the cabs number before he was gone ─ a precaution so they didn't get stuck out here the next day. "Uh, maybe.. I didn't really do my research on dangerous animals or anything." He added whilst shrugging his shoulders, before letting himself plop down on the sand. Removing his rucksack, he began to dig through everything. The boy wasn't really the most organised person, so when he dug out the duvet all of his clothes came with it, so much for not getting any sand on them. But he won't bother with worrying about that right now, and instead gets up and dusts off the duvet, before spreading it out and letting himself sit atop of it. Protecting the clothes he was already wearing from getting anymore sand. He then lays himself down, and pats the place beside himself, a silent c'mere - as he brought the binoculars over his eyes, looking up at the starry sky. "If a snake does slither on over and bites one of us, if we die, maybe we'll be shoved into a pyramid." All the while his gaze is set on looking up, he knows he probably won't see any aliens tonight, but he's found happiness anyway. Something about spaces makes him feel like empty, realising how big the universe is makes him feel small, like his problems don't exist. And he would tell Izzy all of those things, but he doesn't really open up too much, and saying all of that would just make him look dumb. So what he does instead is hand over the binoculars, giving her a turn to stargaze. Propping himself on his elbows, he looks at her instead of up. And his mind is doing that strange racing thing again, that's just something that happens when he finds himself around this particular girl. The action isn't welcomed, and he's not sure what it even means. He just knows that it's an involuntary action, and it's happened since the first day he met her up until now. So, he'll shake his head to get rid of the feeling, bringing himself to sit up. "Do you see any constellations?" He asks as he reaches over her to his rucksack, digging inside once again until he pulls out one of the joints he brought, he would save them for a later time, but now felt appropriate. He places the spliff in his mouth, and brings one of his hands to it's side, cupping it and then bringing the lighter up. The end of the spliff turning it's fiery red, and he gladly takes a hit, letting himself fall back onto the blanket in a state of comfort. "If you see any strange activity up there, you gotta let me know.. if we capture a UFO on one of our phones we can become internet celebrities."
Under the Pale Alien Light || Ethan & Izzy
If she was being completely honest, Izzy had to admit that alien hunting wasn’t even in her list of top five things that she wanted to do before the trip was over. Actually, it wasn’t even in her top ten. But obviously this was something that Ethan was very much into, if the small alien tattoo that she had spied on his finger was any indication. And the boy had raised a good point when trying to convince her - she hadn’t really done anything fun or worth her time since they’d arrived in Egypt, and this would at least be something to pad her resume with. Besides, it was not as if the place was crawling with people lately, and she hadn’t been able to spend any real time with Ethan in such a long time that she couldn’t even remember the last time she and him had hung out. It was every ingredient in the perfect recipe and she would be no less than a fool if she passed such an opportunity up.
She had just finished packing up her bag - filled with some extra clothes, her headphones and some nail polish (she had contemplated carrying her wallet, but thought better of it, deciding to mooch off of Ethan instead if need be) - when her phone buzzed in her pocket, prompting her to pull it out and check for messages. She glanced at the clock and then deemed that there was just enough time for her to change her clothes before Ethan showed up, already tugging her tank top over her head and reaching for the one she had laid out on her bed; a little frilly and cooler to wear, something that would make camping out in the desert less stifling and a little more enjoyable. Just as she was pulling the shirt down and smoothing it over her stomach, Ethan opened the door and stepped into the room. ”You just missed a show,” she joked, grabbing her bag off of the bed and slinging it across her body, pulling her hair out from the neck of her shirt. There was silence for a beat until Izzy reached out and grabbed ahold of Ethan’s wrist, tugging him out the door behind her. ”Okay come on, we’ve got places to be, aliens to see!”
Before he even had a chance at a rebuttal he was being whisked away, and decided to save the comebacks for when they would be deemed more necessary. Like, during the Alien hunting for example. "I called a cab out by the way, it should be upfront by now," he said as he escaped Izzy's grasp and instead moved his hand to take a hold of hers. This time it was his turn to do the whisking away, and so he tugged on her arm as he half ran to the front door. Letting go of her hand as he opened up the door, and gave her a gentle push outside before she got the chance to change her mind, though Ethan doubted that would be the case. Outside the air was already cool, and the stars were out, Egypt didn't have all the big flashy lights that most big cities had and it was nice to be able to look up and see stars rather than just nothing. He'll then lean over to give her a nudge, "this is perfect alien hunting weather, ya know? At any moment one could come down and take you up into his ship for some weird probing experiment," he said with a wink, and almost as if the wink was some sort of magic spell, the cab parked it front of them. The driver stepping out and opening the door. And once the two were inside, they were on their way out into a more desert area Ethan had decided would be the best place for "alien activity". Throughout the ride, he couldn't seem to hold himself still, his leg kept tapping against the seat in front of him due to how restless he felt, he was like a child getting too excited for Christmas morning. "Hey, did you even bring a tent or something.. because I sure didn't." He'd actually been so ready to leave, that he hadn't packed up anything besides his own blanket and clothes, and of course the binoculars. Which he got out of his bag and is now holding in front of his face so he can be prepared at all times. He hadn't really been thinking about things they might need to actually have a night without any problems, "I mean, I bought a blanket so I guess.. we can pitch that up or something.. right, that'll work?"
[blasting Bound 2 from Kanye then trying his best to mock the girl’s voice] Uh huh honey.
Can you not do that.. ever again? Thanks.
Under the Pale Alien Light || Ethan & Izzy
As soon as Izzy agreed to go alien hunting with him, he darted up the stairs as fast as he could to get himself ready. Was he excited? Of course he was, it'd been ages since the two had spent any real time together, and he'd missed Izzy far too much during their trial separation. He didn't want to waste any of the precious best friend time he had, so as soon as he entered his bedroom he began throwing clothes into a rucksack he kept under the bed, along with the clothes he packed up his wallet, a blanket, and a pair of binoculars he'd bought during their first day in Egypt, because there can't be any alien hunting without a pair of binoculars. He even packed up a couple of joints just in case they both needed a little something extra. Once he had on everything, he put on a jumper and then strapped the rucksack on his back ─ and was on his way to Izzy's place. The excitement was obvious on his face, though if it was because he was going to hang out with Izzy, or because he was about to go on an alien hunt was really up to debate. He dug his cellphone out of his pocket, and began to make out a text, 'going 2 ur room now, b ready!' Once the message was sent, he decided to walk a bit slower to give Izzy time to get ready, though during that time he realised that a part of him felt a bit nervous. What if they didn't have such good times like they once did? Or what if he did something wrong? It been a while, it made sense that is hands were getting sweaty, and that his throat felt tight that he had to pull at the collar of his jumper to keep himself from feeling like he was being suffocated. The feeling didn't get any better once he made it to Izzy's door, but he took a deep breath, and knocked - "Ready or not, I'm coming in!" he said, before opening up the door without another warning.
You’re that idiot that turned it on after I was already here first.
And you're the idiot who stands in front of televisions. Now move, you're gonna make me miss the beginning of my film which in return, is going to make me sneak into your room in the middle of the night to punch you in the damn face.
