To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.
Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country (via wordsnquotes)
Progress is worship, even tiny steps, if in the right direction, are victories.

We usually like to travel with others, they influence our experience, so choose wisely #spiritual

Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them. Galatians 4:17
It is important to follow all just laws and all just authority figures who are not abusing their power. We must remember that many of the laws and precepts that we are asked to follow are for our own good. Even the ten commandments are essentially the beginners guide to happiness and health.
It is important to recall that some people, especially those who have been through what you are going through, may be trying to keep you from going to the wrong path. It is not always easy to discern those truly trying to help from those who are misguided in their good intentions, but there is still a distinction that each of us will have to decipher in our own lives.
People will try to entice, intimidate, and convince us away from our course for many reasons, most having little or nothing to do with us, our happiness, or our health. Guiding us away from what we know to be correct towards their own path and goals, and not always is it out of malice.
The trick is following the right path, the right team, doing what is best for you. The Good Lord wants you to be happy, healthy, and yourself. It’s important that we remember to, in the words of Suzy Kassem “Stay true to yourself. An original is worth more than a copy.” If you were meant to be anyone one else, you would have been them. Instead, you are you and no one else can be the person you are.
In the world we live in people are constantly pulling us one way or the other, often down dark paths. In the press of public opinion, we often follow those around us, against our own better judgement, nature and often in direct confrontation with our happiness. The Good Lord wants us to be happy, healthy, and ourselves, in the words of Matshona Dhliwayo “Don’t downgrade your dreams to upgrade your relationships.”
Progress to and through it.
