*The Poppy Story Book* (1950) Hilda Boswell~ English~ b. in London, daughter of an Architect, studied at ‘Hornsey School of Art’ and 'Regent St. Polytechnic. In the 1930’s she illustrated adventure comics for British Newspapers, distributed by the 'Amalgamted Press.’ Her first book was published in 1943, among her best known are those drawn for author Enid Blyton’s Flower and Holiday series, throughout the 1940’s - 1950’s. She also illustrated her own 'Treasury’ book series throughout the 1950’s - 1960’s.
