Start fires to stop the alien ooze from spreading across the city.
Made at the Corvallis Summer Game Jam. This game was made in 48 hours with four other people, and it was a blast. I spent much of the jam coordinating our efforts and translating between the artist and programmers. I answered my teammates questions about Unity and standard practices and solutions to common problems in game development.
I handled the dynamic visual placement of the goo spheres and fire billboards, which use the same system with different settings. I made the Substance material the goo spheres use, which we were not able to use on the goo covered buildings as they have no UVs. I also drew and animated the fire billboards, but we did not have the performance budget for the billboards to be animated, so they simply move side to side to side in the in the final build.
I made the models for the game Zero Sum during Ludum Dare 31.
You can play it at the jam site, here.
Asset for a game I’m working on.
The camouflage is a procedural Substance material. It can be generated in real time in game, meaning each enemy can have a different variation on the pattern.
The UVs were packed automatically. If I ever want to go back and get a more efficient pack, I can use Substance Painter’s UV reprojection feature and not lose any work.

I made this model of Oregon State University to advertise a game jam held on campus.
Modeled in Blender. These stills were created using Unity’s image effects.
