Me, creating a character in any videogame:
I’m just super fucking bitter that once the flint water crisis got it’s 15 minutes of fame people stopped giving a shit. The water is still poisoned, people! Donations have plummeted and people have been forced back into drinking and bathing with the water! The medical effects of this are astounding, cases of legionnaires disease have skyrocketed, people are having seizures, people are having weird rashes break out over their body, people (including me!) are having their blood poisoned, and it’s not just lead! it’s coliform bacteria! it’s THMs! it’s all in the water and it gets into the bloodstream and breaks down blood vessels, causing bruising and petechiae and internal bleeding and no one gives a shit anymore and it’s only gotten worse like how many people are going to have to die until people realize this is still a problem
I would like to add that the people of Flint cannot sell their houses, because selling a house with leaded water is illegal. Additionally, households with children can’t stop paying for the water because living in a house without running water is cause for CPS to take their kids. Flint has been living this way for over two years.
The people of Flint are trapped by the legal system. And it is only the most high profile case out many cities with a similar problem.
Because the government has abandoned them, they are dependant on help from the outside. Donate here
If u can’t donate, reblog so someone else can!!!

There is the argument that saying Arya could not have survived in Sansa’s place is somehow saying Arya is stupid or any number of similar things. Well no, saying that two different people with different skills are equipped to handle certain situation better or worse does not actually mean one of them is stupid.
However, that is not that point I wanted to make. I think people, who are saying Arya could have survived King’s Landing just as well as Sansa, are underestimating one person… Joffrey. More to the point they underestimate how vindictive and very, very stupid he can be. In my reread of ACoK I pointed this out again and again. There is the argument that the Lannisters would have never killed a Stark hostage, no matter whom. But the Lannisters are not in fact a hive mind and Joffrey does not think about the consequences of his actions. I can easily imagine a situation in which he would have ordered the “knights” that make up his kingsguard to kill Arya for no other reason than that she humiliated him at the Trident, without thinking or caring about the fact that this would endanger Jamie. Cersei and Tyrion would have kept Arya alive no doubt, but Joffrey does not really have a good track record of doing what those two want him to.
Not to mention the fact that both Cersei and Tyrion had trouble controlling Joffrey - and they weren’t on had ALL the time to ensure that a volatile situation didn’t get completely out of hand. Sansa was lucky that Tyrion happened on the scene where she was stripped and beaten - that situation could quickly have escalated beyond control if you consider the mood Joffrey was in.
Joffrey was vicious, stupid and powerful - a lethal combination.
Also, lest we all forget the Lannisters didn’t want Ned Stark executed either. Joffrey enacted that little bit of mischief* all on his lonesome.
*Pardon my sarcasm—I can’t help myself when Joffrey gets brought up; he’s such a twit.
Cersei was pissed.
Tyrion was pissed.
Kevan was pissed.
Tywin was SUPER DUPER MEGA pissed.
Sansa survived precisely because she was able to wear courtesy like armor. It wasn’t perfect, and she still had an horrific experience as a hostage, BUT she survived by keeping her mouth shut and her head down for the most part. And when she did attempt to subvert Joffrey’s whims and authority, she got away with it only because she was able to do so sweetly—through kindness and flattery.
And it is absolutely fair to say that Arya probably would not have been able to survive the way Sansa did in King’s Landing for the simple fact that Arya is not built for courtesy and flattery. She says herself she’s no good at being a “lady” and that all the traits that Sansa utilized to stay alive she (Arya) lacks. That is not a bad thing either. Arya is a different character and she survived her own horrible experiences post-AGOT—experiences, by the way, that I do not believe Sansa would have been equipped to handle. It goes both ways.
The bottom line though is that neither girl is made any lesser for “not being able to survive what the other endured” for the simple fact that neither of them should have had to survive any horrible experiences in the first place.
They’re both little girls—the idea that either of them should be able to face and “survive” brutality as if they were grown men is ridiculous. And offensive. What’s also offensive is diminishing the fact that both of them endured said brutality and they did so with a fierceness and determination that most grown men definitely lack.
So Sansa haters (and Arya haters) can put that in their misogynistic pipe and fuck the fuck off.
i’m glad that marvel thought of a title that could resonate with the fans
A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

Child pornography is dispicable and I congratulate you for combattons it... But banning all NSFW content is a shotgun blast to the foot and censors the kind of content tumblr is widely known for. Honestly? The porn on here is a BIG deal for alot of your users, being a largely unjudgmental platform you offer a voice to those who cannot find the content they wish to explore, view or engage in in other areas of life and the Internet and tumblr was their haven. By taking this away you leave them no other safe space or outlet to explore their urges, sexually or creative expression and for that I implore you, reconsider. You do this with good intentions but are to sleevetive with your execution. Poor decision tumblr and one I belive you will never recover from.
