Research question and hypothesis: 

I am most interested in exploring the association between people’s attitudes about civic engagement and the government’s ability to serve their needs and the presence of crime in their family and/or social circles.

I hypothesize that civic engagement and outlook on government is depressed in persons whose relatives and/or friends have been arrested.
