thereās something to be said for people who genuinely make you feel safer. even if theyāre far away from you, their existence is so calming and beautiful, that it makes everything seem better somehow.
oh my god
what i say: im sensitive
what i mean: my mental illness throws everything out of proportion and my emotions are extremely unpredictable and even the slightest thing going wrong literally makes me want to die

booked my next tattoo on 9th may and it's a posy of each of my five ladies' fave flowers (lily each for mam and cb, rose for nana, iris for g'ma, and tulip for me) the lady that did my flamingo is doing it and i am EXCITED
Does anyone have a father who actually did a good job at parenting? That sounds like a myth.
Whenever I see a post like this I feel kinda sad but do realize how truly lucky I am.
I remember that time I accidentally overheard my dad talking with one of his friends, in a random conversation, and him saying āblablabla, but hey if she [about me] gets a boyfriend or a girlfriendā even though I have never brought up sexuality in my life; my dad didnāt assume that I was straight.
I remember that time when I was forced to go on a school trip when I was younger (actually a trip to another country which was a first for me, when surrounded by fellow students that I didnāt get along with all that much) and I got anxiety and home sickness after two days, I called home, and my dad picked up, and he was like āokay princess, I got homesick too when I was younger, Iāll come pick you upā. And I remember laughing through my tears because haha, that was sweet of him to say, but that would be a 24 hour drive actually so it was supposedly a joke. Either way I did feel well enough to at least make it through the rest of that day and the night, but then I woke up to this text like āIām nearly here, did you pack your stuff yet? Also Iām kinda lost in this city but I donāt know how to speak Czech and no one here speaks English, do you speak Czech?!ā (Which I really donāt.) Eventually he found a taxi driver and paid the guy to drive ahead of him to get to the address of the hotel where I was staying.
I remember a recent migraine attack and me going like ādad, Iām okay enough to go to work now but my vision is still kinda blurry, so could you drive me, because me driving wouldnāt be the safest plan right nowā. And him furiously declaring āNO, Iām not driving you anywhere, what youāre going to do for the rest of the day is getting some rest.ā
I remember that one time when I was on my period and in the worst mood ever and my dad getting home from work and handing Ā me my favorite chocolate, saying āI think you might need thisā.
And I think everyone deserves that, and itās so unfair that not everyone gets to have it.
Omg I just started sobbing cus well my dad was a jerk and this is so sweet. All parents should be like this.

Get out and run. Do not worry about the rest. Make running a lifestyle. A daily habit, like brushing your teeth. If you run 300+ days a year, every year, for several years, good things will come your way. Start now. Doesnāt matter if you are 16 years old or 66. If you want to be a decent runner you must get out and run; the rest is just noise. Get the running in firstā that is the foundation. Then: Eat mostly good stuff. Get enough sleep. Stretch if you want toā or donāt. Lift if you like lifting. Cross-train if it makes you happy. Wear minimalist shoes or big bulky ones, whichever you prefer. Listen to music when you run, or not. You can carry water with you on a long run, or you can go without. If you want to do a core routine, then do itā but first you must get out and run. Run on trails, or streets, or on a treadmill, whatever works for you. Run slowly. Run quickly. Run up hills. Run in the rain. Run in the snow, the heat, the cold. Run into the wind. Run on the days that you do not feel like running. Run on the days that you canāt wait to get out and run. Run with friends. Run alone. Run races. Run in the country. Run in the city. Run in parks. Run when you feel happy. Run when you are depressed. Run when you have a ton of energy. Run when you are feeling like shit. Run when you feel good. Run in the morning. Run at night. Run before work. Run after work. Run.
