This is an online journal of interesting things I find. Who am I? A journalist, a story-teller, a New Yorker, a South Dakotan, a Brooklynite. A former Wall Street Journal reporter. Now a writer. Lover of all things adventure and many things refined. In 2010, I learned to surf, scuba and ride a motorcycle. This year, I'm moving to Berlin and planning to travel a lot and learn a lot. I look forward to rapping, sharing knowledge and seeking truth with other writers and readers.

Got to see my awesome nephews and niece in Minnesota today before catching my flight back to NY! (at Eagan, Minnesota)

Today was probably the most fun I’ve had since I’ve been here in New York. My professor had a BBQ for all of NYCJ at his house in Long Island. Traveling always calls for a fun day out. I’m just so happy that I was able to spend this day with warm hearted people who are so open and honest about life. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to spend these next 3 months with. #LongIsland #NY #NYCJ #Travel

Greece Gets Something Right!

Stopped by the Catholic Church street fair in Syosset after our evangelical church service. Fun times. We did rides. We won goldfish from playing some kind of beer pong inspired carnie game.

Now begins a great week with the MCCandlish Phillips Journalism Institute and The Media Project sponsored coaching and leadership fellows program at the Poynter Institute in Florida. I look forward to meeting the 16 fellows from around the world we have selected for the program.
