Got to see my awesome nephews and niece in Minnesota today before catching my flight back to NY! (at Eagan, Minnesota)
Today was probably the most fun I’ve had since I’ve been here in New York. My professor had a BBQ for all of NYCJ at his house in Long Island. Traveling always calls for a fun day out. I’m just so happy that I was able to spend this day with warm hearted people who are so open and honest about life. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to spend these next 3 months with. #LongIsland #NY #NYCJ #Travel
Checking student blogs for our Entrepreneurial Journalism course, I came across this post on a personal blog by one of our students and it made me happy. -PG

Here is my story in Bloomberg BusinessWeek magazine this week...
Stopped by the Catholic Church street fair in Syosset after our evangelical church service. Fun times. We did rides. We won goldfish from playing some kind of beer pong inspired carnie game.
Fantastic week with these foreign journalists and editors at the Poynter Institute in Florida.
Dolphin cruise in St. Petersburg with Poynter Institute Leadership Fellows. Wow
Now begins a great week with the MCCandlish Phillips Journalism Institute and The Media Project sponsored coaching and leadership fellows program at the Poynter Institute in Florida. I look forward to meeting the 16 fellows from around the world we have selected for the program.
Hanging out our windows at The Kings College today to enjoy the ticker tape parade on Broadway for the US Women's Soccer Team - world champs!
Urban shepherd spotted right outside of Athens. She waived and yelled "Yassus" (Hello) as I snapped this photo.
Changing of the Greek palace guard. Right before protest time. #Athens (at Greek Parliament Building)
Riot police lined up on sides of the parliament. They didn't want me to take this photo but, alas, my iPhone was too quick. #Athens ... Snapped all these pre-protest picks while pushing a baby stroller and eating a snack btw #multi-tasking multimedia journalism. (at Greek Parliament Building)
EU negotiations are about to get real in downtown Athens. (at Syntagma Square - Parliament)
Cate chases pigeons in front of the Greek parliament today just hours before protestors and riot police gathered for a stand off. (at Greek Parliament Building)
Cate and me at Aristotle's Lyceum... Cate tried to climb through the bars. (at Anavryta Experimental Lyceum)
Father's Day boat trip in Greece today to an island off Athens called Long Island.
