I hadn't visited these falls for close to 10 years, but went back today to run a roll through my medium format camera. I'll be honest and say it's disappointing to see how much of an impact all the foot traffic has had on this area. It used to be completely covered in moss and thriving ferns of various species. Now it's a dark, bare shell of its former glory. Maybe it's time the Wellington Park Management Trust step in and formalise a trail and viewing platform like the nearby Myrtle Gully falls? Excitement levels were high when I picked up this roll of film from the lab yesterday. That quickly turned to disappointment as I discovered all the photos were massively underexposed. I'm not sure what went wrong. This frame took a lot of work in Lightroom to get to this level. Maybe a light meter is a worthwhile investment over an iPhone app? Maybe the app doesn't handle low light well? Maybe it happened during development? Or most likely I just kooked it. . kunanyi/Mt.
