All the times the Force has stopped Rey and Kylo from killing each other is my favorite trilogy.

In TFA, how the Force splits the land between them before Rey can kill Kylo.

In TLJ, how they can’t hurt/use the Force on each other within the Force Bond.

In TLJ, how the Force actually snaps the lightsaber in half before it lets one of them use it on the other.

The Force is trying so hard.

“Don’t be afraid, I feel it too.” (This line was the line that made me really start shipping reylo. I remember the first time watching it and thinking it didn’t sound like the sort of thing a typical villain would have said to someone he was supposed to hate).

“You’re nothing. But not to me.” (Everyone, let me introduce you to Darth Darcy).

“Can you see my surroundings? I can’t see yours. Just you.” (I love this line for two reasons: 1. He sounds so casual while saying this, like he’s talking to a friend. Meanwhile, all rey can focus on is calling him a monster. And 2. The ‘just you’ part lowkey sounds romantic).

“You’re not alone.” “Neither are you.” (I feel like this was the moment Rey and Ben truly began to care for each other. When they realised they had much more in common than they thought. When they found the sense of belonging they’d been looking for in each other. And that’s beautiful).

If fans know anything about Kylo, it’s that whatever he feels, he feels it strongly. Rey means something to him, and he’s not about to let that go. So, if you’re a fan of Reylo, then there’s still plenty of reasons to hold out hope for the couple’s inevitable union and takeover of the galaxy (in a non-First Order kind of way)… Sure, Kylo’s “You’re nothing” speech was emotionally manipulative, but the idea that he is devoted to seeing Rey for more than her past is still pretty romantic.
