i’ve been trying to find the right way to word it, but i’ve settled on a canon for kaeya i think. he is the child of the t.saritsa and the king of k.haenri’ah. making him a demi-god.

the most conflicting thing is .kaeya having to find for a family that abandoned him vs a family that accepted him, even if d.iluc is a butt at times, he still cares about k.aeya, no one can deny that. so like... comparing blood who would use you and put a heavy burden to people who love you unconditionally?? it all very hard, and from an outsiders perspective, would seem like an easy choice, but imagine what his fathers words did to that little boy who was being abandoned and had just lost everything? those words, of him being the last hope, are carved into his very soul and i feel like its something he still sees in his dreams / nightmares.
