ponyboy recited a poem for another boy as the sun rose and johnny said it seemed like colours and clouds were never there before before and ponyboy said he couldnt recite that poem for anyone else and johnny said "i guess were different" and ponyboy said "maybe they are" and ralph macchio in that scene ad libbed back "maybe youre right" with a grin.
