“You can hardly blame us, Minnie,” James says. “Gryffindors never back down from a dare.”
“Are you saying you were dared to…”
“Ever heard of seven minutes in heaven?”
She rolls her eyes; they are seriously the most oblivious people she has ever known. “And you decided to play this game in the Astronomy Tower after curfew?”
“Gotta live on the edge,” Sirius grins.
“Was that all this is?” she inquires, not betraying any hope in her voice that these kids have finally figured out what the rest of the castle already knows, and that they just want to keep whatever this is to themselves. “Just a game? Just a dare?”
Sirius furrows his eyebrows. “What else would it be?”
“Never mind,” Minerva sighs exasperatedly. “Ten points each from Gryffindor and detention tomorrow for breaking curfew. Now go back to your dorm. Straight to your dorm please, no detours to broom cupboards to kiss and play games with each other.”
“Of course, Minnie,” James replies as he heads to the door.
“See you tomorrow, Minnie,” Sirius adds following his friend.
The door closes behind them, and she rests her head in her hands. Idiots. Absolute fools.
I like to think about that the bike Grace had, where (in the movie, I don't remember about the book), it never made it back to his home. Sitting there for days. Weeks. How long was it there before it was moved? How long did the students watch it as they passed, knowing their favourite teacher, their backup, maybe even their safe space, wasn't coming back. I like to think they left things there. An homage to him. First one student stuck a flower in the rusting metal spokes of the front wheel. Then another. Then one day Eva Stratt sees an old, weathered bike with flowers and gifts and cards and drawings made only by the hands of rushed teenagers. And that is the first time Eva Stratt truly breaks down.

This game was PHENOMENAL. This was my final. I feel sorry for everyone who said it was pointless and that they weren’t watching it because it was ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
All of Remus' books are battered as fuck. They're all second hand and Remus further cracks the spine, creases the cover, dog ears the pages. He doesn't see it as ruining or hurting the book. If anything he thinks it's respecting a books natural desire to be as changed by the reader as it changes the reader.

Peter helping Lily understand how beautiful she is, hyping her up in her outfits, complimenting her, because she's gorgeous and deserves to be told how pretty she is (don't worry, Mary and Marlene hype her too ;) )
Them bonding over things like having a harder time shopping for clothes, getting chosen last in sports activities, or having to put forth a strong personality to make a good impression, since pretty privelege apparently won't carry them through
Peter struggling with his body image more than Lily because she's been surrounded by Mary and Marlene, where he has James, Sirius, and Remus. Not that they're mean, but Sirius and James tease him a bit and it's a vulnerable subject so he doesn't bring it up to Remus, as much as he knows Peter well. He feels a lot safer talking to Lily, knowing she understands. And she does.
It's not much, but it helps. Knowing someone else understands.
A funny aspect of calling Theo and Malia coyote twins is that their birthdays are in fact very close to each other. Malia's birthday being 28 of November and they show two different birthdays for Theo (cause tw prop department is a chaos and inconsistent), but one of them is 23 of November.
I've heard Connie is Christian (correct me if I'm wrong) but what about the others? Does Connie and Darry share a religion or does Darry believe in something else? Just curious on how you wrote in in the novel, maybe you don't know :)
She is a Christian! She was born and raised in Dallas, Texas! Which was a religious city back then! Hence why she wears that gold cross necklace all the time (and it was also from her mom so it’s very special for her) Darry and the others don’t have any particular religion, but they don’t mind it honestly! Darry, might be projecting here, does believe that 3am is the devils hour but other than that for him and the others in particular they don’t have a strong belief like Connie does!
