The gameplay for 007: First Light's out and my god, Bond's shitass fuckass oneliners and Moneypenny's exasperation?? Oh, it's so perfect. Paired with the graphics and stunning level designs--it's fucking beautiful. I recognized some WoA assets being reused too lol

Also seen a cameo with Sean (Jacksepticeye) and it looks so,,, strange to see his actual face in game HAJFHD that's my boy right there

Thinking about it again after a while (I haven't played the campaign in a,, month?? More than a month??):

Grey needed to die (in the story) for 47 to finish the process of adapting to his own individuality. If Grey lived, he'll do the same thing with him as he did with Diana: (unconsciously) using him as a moral anchor without thinking for himself. Sure, he has his moments, but it'll never shine the way it did in Berlin, Chonqing, and Mendoza. Even if Lucas pushes 47 to think for himself, he'll (unknowingly) seek approval from Lucas. If he's doing the right thing, all that jazz. Him dying in Dartmoor needed to happen for 47 to start being wholly himself without the influence of anyone. Him coming back to Diana is his choice since the beginning, but it's got more impact because he gets to decide this time. Just him and his thoughts and feelings.

an interesting dynamic in H3 i've noticed to have overlooked was how self aware diana is, regarding 47's weakness being herself. she never expressed it before H3 yet she seems very confident she's the only one that could get him to lower his guard.

diana is an extremely intelligent character AND she does weaponise 47´s lack of self, meaning she knows he needs her to function and she plays into it. she never outwardly tries to put a distance between them until mendoza - there she forces him to take his independence from her because he wouldn't do it by himself.

before that, she gets visibly angry at him disagreeing with her in H2, orders him around and doesn't really consider his opinions on anything.

onward mendoza, he becomes a whole person, he's not just her assassin anymore, though he remains attached somewhat. where he and diana stand post-H3 (= freelancer) is left vague on purpose (frustratingly).

as much as i love 47dia, my point is that a whole part of their dynamic revolves around him using her as much as she's using him, it's selfish but serves them both, until it doesn't. none of them are evil but they're flawed, for their own separate reasons.

i would add that jane perry (diana's VA) has mentioned several times the hypocrisy of diana "caring deeply" for 47 yet sending him into dangerous missions again and again, i think that argument also counts here.

TLDR: 47diana are very selfish towards each other pre-H3

Referring to the first tag: this is why I love Grey sm. He's such an antithesis to Diana's methodology and yet they both serve the same function in the story as 47's compass. It's a cool dichotomy between characters -- less angel and devil on 47's shoulder, more coin toss with a higher chance of landing on one specific side.
