A month of bliss. Of sun. Of food and wine. Of dancing. Of dreaming. A time to just be. 

A month of watching sunsets of spending time with old friends, discovering new friends and doing whatever my heart desires. Feeling a new sense of freedom on a bike with the wind in my face and unknown roads to explore. 

Shorelines to take my breath away, photos to capture the memories. 

A night of music to make my heart sing and unplanned days of unexpected butterflies to tickle my tummy and make me smile. Lifetime memories.

Dear Hamburg. I need to tell you that I am in love with you. From the scenic white apartments and the peacefulness of the water, to the über cool graffiti walls and eclectic coolness of your social scene. I feel at home as I watch your people run around the Alster and kick a footy in the parks. I make exceptions to my ways and happily order your Schnitzel. For the first time in many weeks I feel truly at home and find myself already wanting to grab the 'safest seat on the plane' and return. Maybe just try not to rain for me though? Till next we meet....

First night out in Hamburg watching The Euro Cup and eating Schnitzel. Ended up at ZaZa Bar. Drinks, old friends, new friends and cold drinks. Great night.... I think I'm going to like this city!

Venice. The hopeless romantic in me comes out as I imagine kissing in the back of gondolas and strolling through the winding streets... The little town on the water didn't let me down although my gondola ride was with five of the Expat crew. Crowded romantic cruise but so so much fun! George & Tilly got a kiss... Or six in and showed us young folk how it's done.... Good to see romance still alive after numerous years of marriage! As for strolling the streets? Yep did that too. There's almost no choice when one finds themselves lost in the labyrinth of Venetian streets every few minutes. I loved it! What better place to get lost? And you always find your way in the end right? ...once you've had lunch, caught a glimpse of the America's cup, done a spot of shopping and had a gelato.... Yes, you always find your way out....
