Quinton felt a head on his shoulder and smiled as he saw Alex lying beside him. He leaned his own head onto Alex’s and smiled softly. “I went for a run, wanted to get back into shape so I don’t burst out of my suit.” Quin laughed, placing an arm round Alex. “I wouldn’t get too close to me, I stink of sweat.” He grinned.

Laughing softly, Alex ran his hand across Quin’s abs. “I think you’re perfectly fine already but if that’s what you want to do then I won’t stop you.” Opening his eyes for a moment, Alex slowly tilted his head up towards Quin’s and gently kissed his cheek and with a slight shrug of his shoulders, he smiled. “You’ve smelt worse.”

Quin opened up his front door and closed it behind him softly in order not to wake Alex if he was sleeping. He chucked the keys own onto the top, and sat on the sofa as sweat poured out of him. It was only 6am, but Quin had enjoyed the morning run. It was just before it was too warm, and just as the coldness of the night had sloped off. Quin was actually enjoying getting fit again. He sat on the sofa a while longer checking his phone, watching as the sunlight poured through the windows.

Alex’s eyes fluttered open as he reached across the bed and felt the empty space beside him that had previously been taken up by his boyfriend. Normally, the space wouldn’t have surprised him but he could tell it was far earlier than normal. Hearing the front door click closed, Alex gently rubbed his tired eyes before slipping out of bed and slowly trudging out of his room, along the hallway and downstairs to where his love would likely be. Ruffling his hair slowly, he smiled as Quin came into view and slipped down beside him, resting his head on the boy’s shoulder and closing his eyes. “What are you doing up so early?” he queried, yawning softly as he did.
