It did mean something to him, only because it involved Sakura and Nirei, and how they reminded him of something important. Things were complicated as they always are when you're forced to grow up. Maybe this evening could be an opportunity to sneak out for one more time...just to see a bicolored male again. Carrying the weight of these sins together seemed nature to do when it involved someone who was important to him. Yet the absolute horror of the act still managed to make him cry, becoming sympathetic towards lives who didn’t value the supposed monster in front of him. It was only their true bodies that made them different and perhaps their souls as Hikaru insisted. But he saw a monster who was blending with humans, smiling at the smallest things in life. He was completely different from the human that died on that mountain. Yoshiki didn’t understand what was different, what was wrong about the monster that enjoyed spending time at the village. He was alone on this mountain while humans used him for their own selfish wishes…it’s no wonder the male didn’t mind changing his perspective. If it meant they would travel back to the village with blood on their hands, then he’ll help carry this sin alongside him. He already insisted that he was also a monster in his own right and never saw himself as part of the village’s customs. These tears were the faint traces of his humanity, the purity of his soul that Hikaru didn’t wish to taint.

“I…I am prepared for that, if you’ll let me Hikaru. I just…I want us to go back home.”

Their foreheads pressed together brought some comfort to Yoshiki’s chest, being able to actually be himself around the entity. His form rarely showed much discomfort any longer and the darkness taking shape around his wrist felt like they were holding hands. The marking imprinted upon his arm was a reminder of his trace, the soul fact that this Hikaru existed. He was…a monster that carried a pure heart, even if he may not physically possess it. The male remembered how it felt to reach the deepest parts of him and how it felt good to him. “Even so, I’m…” Eyes shut themselves to emit warmth throughout his body, the glow around his chest ever present of the soul Hikaru adored. He still didn’t grasp what made his soul special or interesting though listened to him speaking softly. The touch of the shadows emitted faint sounds from his mouth, resembling fingers that touched his exposed skin.

“Hi…Hikaru…then how are we going to leave here? The villagers…I can still hear them.”

The look on Hikaru’s face made him slightly concerned until the voices of the villagers sounded different. Fear certainly remained in their cries, though eyes glance throughout their surroundings to notice the darkness masking away their presence. It’s strange how he didn’t respond in the same way when sharp eyes would beam directly at his own, determined not to taint Yoshiki’s soul. A blush appeared on the male’s cheeks as he listened and remembered the moments they shared these past days. His chest loosened its tension, perhaps grateful there was something he could do aside from killing these villagers.

“I would only do it…if someone tried to hurt you, Hikaru. You aren’t a killer if you do it out of self-defense or protecting someone you love.”

It was an odd moment to deliver another one of Yoshiki’s lessons, the kind that taught a monster about what it means to be human. Those words ring within his mind and would follow through them if he ever heard of someone hurting Hikaru. Maybe he wouldn’t understand those words, perhaps thinking it was an excuse to taint his soul. They simply are the emotions that lead humans to doing a reckless thing…even at the cost of their purity. Humans are forgiven for their sins of killing someone whose life was threatened. No matter what, Hikaru is still this being that lived and his life carried meaning in this cruel world. A monster still had a life and that life mattered to him most of all.

Being this close to Hikaru delivered another skip of his heartbeat along with the warmth filling up his chest despite the voices of the villagers. Everything was happening far away in his mind, bringing this faint comfort to his chest.

“Y…You can erase their memories? That might be a better option.”

Maybe they can head back to his home, finally head back to Yoshiki’s room just for them to enjoy the night. The exhaustion wished to kick into his body as the adrenaline began to wear down after this experience. He rather they resolve all this first, at least sending back the villagers to their usual lives. The voices they made didn’t belong within their village even if fear was a dangerous emotion. It pushed humans to their limits, making them decide on the cruelest choices just to eliminate the impurities in their lives. Eyes stare at the shadows that seem to be crying out of performing his natural instincts. He looked like there was a desire to get rid of these villagers, as soon as possible, and by any means necessary.

A hand would curiously reach out to touch the tendrils before they went back into his skin and took the moment to focus on what he’d do. At least he was determined to stick to this plan, letting the male nod gently to how their memories of tonight would disappear. On cue there was a silence that engulfed them compared to how they were surrounded by cries of fear. Eyes blinked once before staring around, vaguely turning his attention to the front entrance. Yoshiki’s trembling hand rested against the sliding door as he opened it slowly to look around. He wanted to make sure the villagers were gone, making certain the coast was clear. The faint joy ran through his heart as he turned to Hikaru. “They are gone…let’s go back, Hikaru! Hurry!”

The excitement on Yoshiki’s face displayed enough for his eyes to stare at him, reaching out for a hand to grasp the other’s hand. “We can finally head back home…back to my room.” It didn’t take long for them to quickly head out of the place they resided. He didn’t bother looking back to the enclosed space that trapped them with flames, wanting to just lay back on his bed. His hold on Hikaru’s hand remained as if keeping him close by his side. He didn’t want to let go, almost afraid of what would happen when those numbers did increase. It wasn’t something to consider at the time as they arrived back at his place. He kicked off those shoes before entering, helping him out of those shoes before running to his room. The rush of escaping made Yoshiki start panting heavily after running that fast to come back here. He collapsed on his knees, sweat running down his neck to the front of his shirt while laughing nervously.

“Hah…we…we made it back. I’m so glad…we’re back home, Hikaru.”
