THE GAANG'S OUTFITS APPRECIATION: WINTER ATTIRE (1/?)

I think that these are the BEST outfits the Gaang has had in the movie, or even in a long time. The winter attire is unique between each person, showcasing the nation/tribe they come from. Sokka and Katara wear more heavy coats compared to the others, attributing to the fact they come from the Southern Water Tribe where it is mostly cold all year round. Some notable wardrobe choices are the fur-lined collars and multiple layers, complimenting the traditional wear of the SWT. On the other hand, Zuko wears more intricate, regal clothing to represent his status as Fire Lord. His robes are gilded and have more detailing to them, making him stand out from the rest. Though Aang and Toph's attire is more simple, it still majorly represents their character and appearance. In Aang's clothing, we see he still carries and honors the traditional Air Nomad attire. The orange sash/shawl is apparent in all of his clothing throughout the movie, symbolic to his culture and identity. But also, we see that his clothing is lined in fur. Aang integrates Katara' culture into his own attire, representing how their tribes have come together. With Toph, her more lightly-layered clothing allows her to be more quick and efficent with her feet. Because she's blind, she relies mostly on her senses. Having heavier layers/attire would restrain her, and this simple wardrobe choice showcases how she adapts due to losing her sense of sight.
