The emotional obstacles between Ramil and Punn's relationship have always been about control and permission. They've been playing a very intricate game of cat and mouse, where they each believe themselves to be the cat. Once all the cards are on the table, and Punn understands the depths of Ramil's mental ability, it becomes clear that he was taken advantage of against his will. When someone has been messing with your mind and altering your perception of reality, it's hard to discern actuality from invented fantasy.
Punn makes it clear that he has a very big problem with Ramil, essentially, brainwashing him. So, Ramil agrees that he will never mess with Punn's mind again unless given explicit permission.
It's been brought up between Jett and Punn that the memories Punn has regarding the vampire attack at their orphanage are unreliable. That neither them, nor Ramil's clan, actual know the truth about what happened that night.
Ramil and Punn have both agreed to work together to face their problems and figure out the truth. Now...
Punn is struggling to piece together the memories he has because it's been so long. Ramil has a very convenient ability that allows him to sort through memories. I think the story is driving us to a point where Punn is going to allow Ramil into his mind so that they can figure out what actually happened. Going by what it means to have supernatural mindfulness (which is how the series refers to Ramil's power in Thai), once Ramil is inside a person's mind, he can manipulate the reality around him and metaphysically change things. Ramil cares deeply about Punn, and if he sensed Punn would be in any kind of danger (past, present, or future) he wouldn't be able to sit idly by allowing Punn to be harmed. He would protect him.
If this is the order of events, then Ramil going back into Punn's memories and establishing that initial mental connection would set a temporal paradox into motion. More specifically, a retrocausality paradox, where a future event is what influences the state of the current timeline. So the effects of Ramil's actions would precede his actual cause of them. Ramil retains his ability to influence Punn's mind while he's in the painting because he will later become a part of Punn's past memories to initiate that connection. Punn remembers Ramil being at the orphanage because Ramil will later insert himself there. It's a very brilliant piece of storytelling that is extremely hard to pull off, but Revamp has a very good setup for it.
